The "PE Mod" exhaust on an F32
So I've used the search bar already and didn't come across much since most of the clips are of previous 3 series gens. Just bought a 435i exhaust and diffuser off eBay. I was wondering if anyone has sound clips of their F32 or even F30 "PE mod" with or without a catless dp, etc. Thanks in advance!

If you mean opening it up and welding the holes to pretty much straight pipe it then yes some has done it and said the stock exhaust is louder than the MPE once modded, search the forum.

I think this was the thread you're talking about? I thought about doing it but bought an MPE instead. I do have the stock exhaust sitting in my closet and was always curious about opening it up. How much do you think it would cost for an exhaust shop to open it up for fun? EDIT: top link is to a 335 stock exhaust mod. bottom link for the n20 exhaust mod. I don't know anything about exhaust resonance (besides the basics) and reasons for the packing material and perforated holes so maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1222774 Last edited by bheng89; 07-13-2018 at 06:12 PM.. |
