Ah right thanks for that, good point about S75 too.

AutoDoc have these: https://m.autodoc.co.uk/hd-karosserieteile/12891280

They are titled ‘DIEDERICHS’ but in the description it says ‘Quality: Depo’.

Also are almost £100 dearer, similar price to M-Style.

Probably worth you getting them from Ultimate Styling then, no point paying more for the same thing.

Yeah that’s the plan at the moment, although looking at the picture or the 360 degree view on the website, the back of the light where you would insert the low beam bulb looks a bit weird or is it just me? - https://ultimatestyling.co.uk/bmw-3-...rh-ult6038-phl

EDIT: Here is a clearer picture of what I mean in picture 4 of this eBay listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303378638180

It looks as though there is some cable ties and plastic where the circle plastic cover should be?

Also is it better to go HID kits instead of just changing to LED bulbs?

Waiting to hear back from my insurance as I asked how much the mod would cost and the my said they need to speak to the underwriters and get back to me.

Assuming everyone who has done this mod has told their insurance, does it have to be done over the phone? Reason being I couldn’t find any specific option in the “has your car been modified?” Section when looking for insurance.

If they get back to me saying they can’t cover the lights I will just have to wait until mid January when renewal time comes to change company.

Anyone have an opinion on these instead of the Depo headlights?

Bit weird but they mention them being better quality than the Depos in the description and they use a real xenon bulb it seems.

Just looking at all the spelling mistakes would put me off, if they can't be bothered to get their sales literature right I'm not sure I'd trust the quality of the actual product. And £825 isn't cheap.

Yeah I did think it felt a bit weird, thanks for the reply.

There's enough people on the forum who have done the Depo swap for it to be worthwhile to do should you want it (even if it requires some coding).

Yeah I thought that too, Depo lights have some history to go on at least. At the moment I’ll be doing the swap next month when I change insurers. Just keeping my eyes open in the meantime. OEM swaps looking like £1400+ plus all the wiring etc so just not an option really.

Hi all, so I’ve had the Depo headlights delivered, look great. Ordered a HID kit, just need to order some LEDs for the high beam and LED indicator bulbs. I’m also going to get some LED bulbs for the rear brakes and indicators.

I just had a question for anyone with them, the Depo high beam housing is below in the picture and there seems to have two metal clip things that look like they do something but I’m not sure what, anyone able to help? Cheers.

Garage List
They look like they're supposed to hold the base of the bulb in place. Except there is no bulb there (yet)

Yeah I thought it might be something to do with that. I believe I need these holders to install H7 LED bulbs: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07GBW3J2..._J465Fb2ZPX7QQ

So it looks like I would undo them clips, fit the bulb and the holder in the link above, then redo them clips as they are in the picture to secure?

Not sure tbh, it might not need those, the base of a standard H7 bulb (if H7 is indeed the correct one) might be enough to hold it in place.

Yeah I’ve read a few different stories and read the 69 page thread on here but didn’t see any mention of the clips in the picture above so will get them ordered and see when I have the bulb in hand, cheers.

NOVSIGHT H7 LED Headlight Bulbs... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07RX34NTV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

That’s the LED I used for high beam. From memory you unclip the metal and pipit back once installed. They come with instructions which are fairly easy to follow. The high beam was the easiest bulb to fit.

Enjoy your lights

Cheers mate, yeah I ordered the same high beam bulb you linked earlier in the thread. Thanks for that at least I know I should be okay with it now lol.

Will post a picture here when it’s done, insurance changes over on the 16th January so it will probably be that week, can’t wait.

Aha. They do look good! The headlights for me were really about visibility the looks was just a great secondary reason. So I’m not in great need of the rear lights but you never know! Let me know if you get them done.

I’m fitting the bulbs to the headlights today before (hopefully) fitting them to the car next week. However I am having trouble with the HID metal adapter for the bulb to fit.

HIDs4U included 3 metal adapters but they don’t seem to fit in the DEPO low beam housing slot. The headlights came pre fitted with its own metal adapter that of course fits, the problem is that one is closed and doesn’t have any gaps in the side of the adapter to slot the wires through and is also a different shape entirely.

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Ended up having to cut a slot to fit the wires through in the adapters that came pre installed with the headlights, managed to get the HID bulb fitted this way and it seems secure so fingers crossed. I did read in another thread some others had to do the same. So all bulbs are in now and hopefully will get them fitted next week.

Finally got the lights fitted today, 100x better, so glad I went this route now.

All coded and everything works I just think the headlights need adjusting slightly to aim higher as I believe they are a bit low, however they are still a big improvement over the yellow candles and I will adjust properly in due course. For now the colour and light in the road is much better.

First pic is when I first got the car a couple of years ago, I changed the grill pretty much straight away.
