F32 N55 Dyno - MHD Stage 2+
Not much to show since I don't have a baseline but figured I'd post for those interested in just numbers.
N55 EWG 8AT Mods: ER Catless DP ER Chargepipe VRSF 5" HD FMIC NGK 97506 Plugs gapped to .022" K&N Drop-In Filter MHD Stage 2+ 93 Oct JB4 (currently only using for logging) Shop was around 100°F and 50% humidity 5th run made 374 HP/372 TQ in 6th gear Car was pretty hot at that point, had a couple scrub runs due to hitting the kickdown. Torque numbers seemed low compared to other dyno results I've seen.. I plan on running E30 soon and will dyno again. |

Also i would recommend just getting MHD monitoring moudle. If your JB4 logging speed is like the others i have seen its 10-20x slower (lower time resolution) than MHD. |

I LOVE MHD’s torque curve, but the tunes are down on absolute power (but more reliable) For the record, that’s about 365whp SAE. Last edited by AmuroRay; 08-10-2020 at 04:01 PM.. |

Time to order some boostane from Amazon Prime and use the 95map... there is noticeable difference between the 93 & 95 map...

E20 map will make more power than 95 map per MHD. |

E30 is probably the most common custom tune with upgraded HPFP; you can just run more boost with the upgraded HPFP. With stock turbo you can probably go to E50 (on stage 1 HPFP), which should allow you to make some more power with timing in addition to the extra boost.

365whp for a PWG sounds pretty accurate for FBO.

The numbers look solid. The ambient heat and humidity were likely sucking out some power because your peak HP power only hit at 5500rpms and then dropped from there. The EWG N55s hit peak power at around 6000-6200rpms and then tail off. When they're heat soaked, timing gets pulled and they almost always peak at 5500rpms. This happens a lot on heat soaked N55 M2s.
If you were to have run on a 50 degree day, I'd bet those numbers would be more like 385whp/wtq.

Alright thejeremyman9... got the fabspeed put on... definitely spins up faster... I just did a run and IAT's are too high to compare to my other log but yea it pulled a lot of timing like you said it would... I only drove it like 20 miles on the freeway so far... there is a spike @ 5336rpm... maybe I hit a bump in the road???.... well here is the log... Click here

Timing is decent, not too bad honestly considering IATs are very high and its the 95 map. That does look like a bump, yeah. Unless you are 6MT it could be clutch slip, but it's kindof far into the pull for that even if you were. Even hitting a small bump can look like that (you dont have to like catch air for example, just reduce load on rear tires). |
