400M Winter Wheels
I've bought another set of 400m alloys to use in the winter.
My question is around tyre sizes, especially the rear. Do I stick with the standard 255 width or go down to a 225 to match the front? The wheels will be 8.5j on the rear and I think 225 is the minimum for that size rim, so should be fine but looking for opinions. Next onto tyre choice... looking at a few options. Yoko Advan Winters are a good price. |

square is usually better for winter. Best option would be to sell the rears and find two more fronts and run 225s
if you are xdrive keep in mind that front and rear circumference should be close to keep the system happy.

Tyre guy has advised 225/40/18 will be fine on the rears, so I'm happy with that.
Vredestein Wintrac Pro are possibly going on... just been released so no reviews but the previous wintrac xtreme get good reviews. |
