M4 springs on 435i xdrive M Sport

I swapped to the M4 springs thinking they would be slightly shorter and slightly firmer but alas, the ride height look and the feel is the same. I am only looking for a mild drop, maybe 3/4" to 1" max. Any suggestions? Eibach or H & R? I will have a set of stock 435i xdrive M Sport springs and a set of M4 springs for sale for cheap.

What were your hub to fender measurements before/after?

The 440ix springs are probably very similar in rate to the 340ix springs, in which case if you have the adaptive-m suspension (EDC) then there isn't any difference in spring rate between the front spring and the F8x base front springs. the F8x base rear springs are about 10% stiffer though.

If you have same springs as the 340ix base suspension then the base F8x springs are 20% in the front and 37% stiffer in the rear.

my ride on h&r + dinan shockware and f8x bumpstops is not harsh at all fyi. I drive in Los Angeles and it's similar to stock feel, just very low and scrapes going in and out of driveways. It corners flat and the xdrive + michelin ps 4s tire = enter any corner at any speed and the car sorts out the rest.

The BMW ETK system is back up and I looked up the F32 435ix 6MT springs.

The F8x front spring is 5.5% stiffer and the rear is 37% stiffer than your OE springs. So you not feeling a difference in the front (ride quality or steering response) is right, but you might feel a bit of a difference in rotation and harshness in the rear.

I'm assuming you got the springs from an F8x with DCT and no sunroof. That would explain the minimal drop too since you have a lighter 6MT transmission.

Hey Farkle, could you tell me where you can see the OE specs, as in ETK I only get spring table and the part numbers, nothing about rates, etc. Thanks
