This is the link to the BMW ConnectedDrive update page; https://www.bmw.com/en/topics/offers...#firmware.html
Scroll down the page to the "Always Up-To-Date" section and you will see cell to enter your last 7 digits of your VIN to search for available updates. |

How do you do this if you have a retrofitted NBT?
I've always wondered how to do this, and more-so as BimmerTech have activated my hardware directly without the use of an emulator.

Probably best to ask BimmerTech. I suspect they have a way. |

Then if I visit the compatibility page referenced on that link you sent (www.bmw.com/bluetooth) and enter my VIN it tells me "Your vehicle was not bought in the country currently selected. Please change your entry in the country selection". |

Have you done a BMW DECODE (http://bimmer.work) search on your VIN. The response you got about country selected doesn't make any sense. |

Here's another one... Ever tried their recall search? https://www.bmwusa.com/safety-recalls.html For my VIN, it shows "There are no open recalls for your vehicle." Yet there have been 2, and that's what NHTSA site shows, too. Not sure what's up with that... |

Any way to update my 4-2016 340xi build? I've had intermittent bluetooth problems with my android, especially if I leave and come back to the car it'll only play audio for <1 sec I have to disable and reenable bluetooth either on the radio/phone to get it working again.
The website says no new software available and i've never seen it update OTA

Bmw.com/update shows am update that is in the MN/TN 002. Range. I had my ECUs updated at Dealership last month to the 2017.07 builds and the MN/TN in NBT is 003.003.001 Assuming they should be latest with the ECU updates as it wiped out all custom coding that had been done, but really unsure. Clearly the 003 is higher than the 002 and 001 showing on the bmw.com/update link. |

Agree site older, as I mentioned. Guess the ECU update did nothing in this respect. |

Go online and find a BMW for sale. VIN's are generally included in car ads. Find a make/model from the year that the model of your NBT came in. Use the last 7 of that cars VIN. You're just downloading the NBT update software. |

I thought about that option a week ago for this forum. Unfortunately as the NBT has access to so many of the options that are not included on all cars, I did not post as I am concerned it might wipe out some of the cars installed options, especially after seeing how many different firmware versions there are in the PDFs associated with new firmware.
