I had the resonator deleted on my n20 328i and I feel that the car is less responsive, as in I have to step on the accelerator more for the car to go. This is felt especially in eco pro mode. Is this normal with a resonator delete? Or do I have a leak somewhere from the welding done by the shop?

anything past the stock DP would not affect the engine at all, it is the single biggest bottleneck in the whole exhaust. Placebo? bad gas? loose piping? could be so many other things that just happen to show up after you had the res delete.

Res Delete on my 230i did not affect drivability at all. Like mentionned it should not affect the engine at all at this point in the line.

Only thing i have done to my car performance wise. I thought the resonator delete would increase acceleration slightly, not the opposite lol.

I have ordered the active autowerke exhaust to go with the resonator delete, hopefully that solves the problem. I will have the shop check for leaks while they install the exhaust

Lol cats are restrictive, mufflers are restrictive, resonators are not a restriction . You basically just cut out a section of straight through pipe and replaced it with a section of straight through pipe...

Now if you replaced a 3" resonator with a section or 2" piping, you will suffer a performance loss...

My vote is placebo.

That's what I was thinking too, and now that I have the new exhaust installed all is good again

did you end up getting the AA axleback? Got any sound clips? I have an AA axleback rn thinking about getting the resonator deleted as well but I'm not sure how drastic the change will be
