Easy as 1,2,3.

Ind Paint (5k and Up) not uncommon for 10k ind paint.
Indi Interior (Easy additional $7k and Up)
MPE ($6,500)
All Carbon Fiber Goodies (~~$5k)

Let's not get started on other Individual Options.

Id probably pay about $1,800 for the M tier
And $1,600 for legend tier and $600/700 for the others.

I still feel like I'd have to carry additional insurance on my own separate from BMW cause I feel like it's not enough.

Easy. Every factory option with the exception of DCT and carbon ceramics, along with every available port installed ///M Performance accessory. I didn't even touch the BMW Individual options.

This seems to be crazy expensive. I was considering this when it was rumored. Once the prices adjust to the actual market then I'll re evaluate. Sheesh

Take average cost of leasing the cars in which specific category add a 20-30% markup for convenience of switching cars and that should be the pricing.

Regular 2/3 Series cars should be $600-$700
M3/M4/X5/X6 about $1200-$1400
M5/M6/X5M/750 $1600-$1800

The ICON tier for 6 cars seem reasonable for an all inclusive service including insurance. This is even better if up to 2-4 drivers are allowed on the plan. Not bad

I'm under $1,300 per month avg all in on a $100k msrp F80 M3 ZCP. Excluding gas of course.
100k m3 that's nuts. Individual color, leather, ccb, and titanium exhaust?

$2,500/month for a BMW though?

Sorry, I'd rather a Porsche for that.

You can technically write off a lease too. Makes no difference.

Get a CPO M3 lease instead. Maybe compare this to Turo and see which one you like better. I think Turo and most exotic rental agencies are cheaper and you can rent for a shorter term. Can you redeem your travel points on your credit card for this?

They should just lower the price and make it limited swaps. No one is going to go through the pain of swapping 30x a month.

I've looked heavily into this subscription service and I live in the Nashville area.

The key factor for me is time. I hate taking cars to the dealer or anywhere for oil changes, new tires, warranty repairs, recalls or anything else. It's a pain in the butt. As someone who likes to drive cars but has very little skill in fixing (or even diagnosing) problems, the idea of "leave it to someone else" is very appealing to me.

The "hey, this car is bothering me now, please come take it and give me another one" sounds awesome. And then you add in the fact that you can swap between a convertible or X3 and it becomes even more appealing. Another thing you can do is pay the difference between the tiers to upgrade for just a couple of days. I would do that in a heartbeat to take an M4 to the mountains for a few days.

That said, this is still too expensive. Even though I pay cash for cars (never lease/finance) the difference in cost is staggering. I built a calculator where I add in all the costs of ownership (including insurance, tires, registration fees, depreciation) and the subscription still comes out too expensive even with the revised pricing.

Both the Mercedes of Nashville and BMW of Nashville that are providing these subscriptions are owned by Sonic Automotive and utilizing Clutch technologies as their backend. The Mercedes started with a C-Class tier that is $1,095 per month and it's interesting that now BMW has introduced a tier at the same price. You know they are sharing information back and forth with each other about what's working and what isn't. Based on my conversations with both dealers, there aren't many takers yet if any. In fact, the BMW dealership actively sold my friend against the program by saying "you could lease 2 cars for less..."

I'm going to hold tight and wait and see how the pricing changes.

I recently sold my 335 and my next car will either be a M-Sport 440 or M4. I'm considering signing up for 60 days just so I can experiment with a bunch of cars over a short time period and get a feel for what I like and what I don't. But, beyond that, I'll wait until the prices (hopefully) drop again.

I think there pricing is getting better but still not there. As pointed out there is the convenience factor of one bill and flexibility in choice or changing of vehicles. I wonder though if you have a bad driving record do you still pay the same as everyone else? What about older people who tend to pay less than younger people for insurance? It may be interesting how all this applies or could be applied to healthcare lol.

No BMW Individual options. All factory options except carbon ceramics and DCT, as well as every port installed ///M Performance option (exhaust, electronic steering wheel, carbon tips, splitter, diffuser, mirror caps, hand brake, led puddle light projectors, etc.).

Not quite.

What I describe is a plan that specifically only allows switching between just two different vehicles in the same price range for the term of the agreement.

I admittedly don't know how costs breakdown, so the amount of savings to BMW for my theoretical more limited plan is unknown. But the idea would be to get the cost to the consumer down to within, say, a 20% increase over leasing/insuring/maintaining just one of the vehicles.
Ok I see where you're coming from and sounds a little like a cross between the BMWFS Car Sharing Lease and upcoming service that will be available for 7er/X7/8er clients.

Still, the Access pricing isn't as bad as it seems for the given intent and demographic. This isn't meant to be a lease substitute for all, but if we used more realistic terms to compare pricing, it's probably closer to that 20%, if not better. 2000mi per month are included and the cars will never be more than 1 year old. So to start off a lease comparison, it needs to be based on 2 vehicles from the appropriate tier for 12mo/12k per year and assumes one will use the subscription for 12 - 32 day subscription periods. The Access cars are also not stripper models so the lease comp cars need to be rather well, if not fully equipped. Insurance is 300,000/1,000,000/300,000, $2k medical out of pocket supplement, and $1k deductible. All maintenance including tires is included.

I'd be interested in a car swapping service like this, and would be willing to pay a premium. Still not this much of a premium, but if it goes down further then maybe.

The real question I have for bmw is, are you going to make enough compelling cars for me to want to switch between? because your current cookie cutter strategy makes it totally pointless. Switching between all the faceless 2,3,4,5 series isn't worth the trouble to transfer my radar detector, much less a price premium.

I do love a couple of bmw models, but as others have pointed out, I could just lease those.

im curious how long in advance you need to let the dealership you are going through know that youd like to swap. What if the car you want isnt available at that time? how do they go about that? its not like they will just pull a brand new car off the lot and give it to you. Its going to be one already in the fleet for this purpose.

At full membership, 24hrs. Right now during the week, it's possible to swap in 2-3hrs. The cars are owned by BMWFS and do not come out of the dealership inventory, Clutch provides the service/app, and the dealership is simply the garaging/dispatch location. If the car you want isn't available, they'll offer something similar. If it's in a different tier and is acceptable to the member, the difference in price is prorated for the duration of use.

The best way to do this is to own outright the M car (or any BMW), do any mods you like to do, & then have this for the wifey/partner but with you listed as co-driver of course
