Man nice PSA. I'm at 67k on the ODO so I think I'll be replacing this ASAP.

This is the part number I ordered 17 12 8 570 061

It supersedes part number 17 12 8 507 235 which you will find on realoem.com

Here is the FCP Euro link, $34.30

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...ve-17128570061

FCP site says it won't fit my 2014 RWD 335i but it is the new part number per Pelican Parts and bavauto.com so I guess we will see. I'll report back.

That's odd since the site says it fit the 2013 RWD 335i. Although, I really like FCP, they still need to clean up and QA their search and indexing. I have constant problems with it. Have talked/emailed several times and they acknowledge the issue. Also need to add more granularity to the function for defining your vehicle.

Well, mine went out today. I was about 10 miles from home, so I limped it back, keeping a keen eye on my coolant and oil temps. Stopped once to let it cool off a bit when coolant hit 226F and oil temp gauge was at 250. Looks like I'll be calling around to local dealers and praying one has it in stock.

Can you confirm that 17128570061 is correct?

I called one of the local dealers today and they confirmed they had 2 in stock. Picked it up, along with a gallon of coolant (and an oil filter while I was there for the E90). Made it a garage day; replaced the hose, refilled the coolant (50/50 mix), and did an oil change on the E90.

Ez pz, but posting sort of a pictorial step-by-step in case any one can't figure it out. should be fairly self-explanatory.

For those wondering, this is how you bleed the cooling system on our cars. Stolen from another thread...
So basically that's the same bleed procedure as on the E90s.

Mine just gave out today, 49.7k miles. Used 5/16" hose to temporarily hold it together until the real hose comes in the mail.

I put this on yesterday. I can confirm the part number is correct. Took all of 1 min to swap. Good thing I did too. Before I swapped it out I noticed some coolant residue at the 90-degree bend near the connector on the driver's side. That was a sign of a small crack and some leakage. As I was removing the hose it snapped in two right there at the connector just like the pics in the post above. Nice save OP.

Thanks for the warning. Ordered the replacement hose and went to swap it out today. As soon as I touched the end where it's shown breaking, the hose snapped off the connector. Small loss of coolant but nothing major. I'm currently at 82k on a 2012. Great PM item and super quick to swap out.

Mine also snapped off but i can only assume one of the techs at BMW tried to glue it back together so that he didn't have to pay for it, lucky i checked the engine bay before i started the car for some odd reason that day.

I don't think that's going to hold very well.
