What type of brakes are these?

Hey guys, quick question. I got a F32 and it looks like it has brembo brakes cause the fronts are huge but mine are grey and say bmw on it?

Soooo what kind of brakes are these? Any reason they r not colored ? Confused

Thanks in advance

These appear to be the standard brakes, not the "M Sport" brakes that come with the Track Handling Package.

Those are the standard brakes. The front caliper is still made by Brembo. The M Sport brakes are the same calipers up front but panted and larger rotors front and back with a two piston rear caliper.

Appreciated 💪🏻

Yip 4 pot Brembo's up front is the car a 440i? 435i? as they seem to come standard on the back you still have the smaller single pot caliper / disc's.

Easy to paint them up sticker them and get hold of the rear disc's / calipers and mounts and have the 345mm rears to match

2015 435i gc m sport didn't came with 4 pot caliper upfront. When it come to brakes, BMW fuck it up.... to many combination. I call the blue caliper as track handling package. Not m-sport. But who knows

The rear ones are made by Bosch if I am not mistaken.

They come standard with N55/B58, the blue ones are often referred as M performance. PITA when it comes to finding aftermarket replacement...

Blue caliper just a track handling package brake. M Performance comes in Orange, Yellow and Red. They are much bigger brakes than the blue ones.

They are essentially the same. Main difference is the slotted and dimpled rotors and different pad compound.

Correct, same size rotors and same calipers as the thp/blue m-sport brakes, just fancier rotors and more caliper colors.

For LCI I believe the standard brakes were upgraded, particularly with the 340i/440i so the thp brakes aren’t quite as much as an upgrade as they were pre-LCI.

I have the same setup. I'd love to replace the rear calipers, maybe with 2- or 4-pot Brembos, and powdercoat all four.

Does anybody know — is there a direct bolt-on caliper like that, and can I avoid coding the car if I replace with those calipers?

I'd be interested in the same thing as far as replacing the rears with a two or 4 pot set up. Stop Tech is having a sale now for close to 1/2 off their brakes.
