Thankfully not had cause to use them yet but for a couple of quid worth chucking in the boot, you never know they could work and be the difference between being able to carry on under your own steam.
I've used this kit a couple of times and can report its excellent. I first got wind of it when having a puncture repaired at a tyre garage and they did the same repair and never had an issue.

Its sold as a repair but works as a permanent fix.

Seen these before, thanks for reminding me to get one

Got me thinking, what other affordable gizmos might be a life changer for me… 😂

For those interested, I got this one…

I got the same one because the nozzle of the air pump on the gas stations around me does not fit the valve on my wheels.
Looks like the valve stem is too short….

These are surprisingly effective, in my experience.

I've used the kit to plug a screw hole in tyres on my F31 and also our KIA Sorento - both lasted a year before they developed a slow leak.

And, yes, I know they aren't intended as a permanent fix...

You're welcome...

I did look at some of the alternatives and although many were a bit cheaper I went with the Bosch as I have a few of their 18v system tools now and I am happy with them in terms of quality yrs price paid (especially them selling the kit without a battery so you pay substantially less if you already have the battery)... Am sure other ones do the job just as well, though...

I bought one of these to make the connecting easier to the car tyres...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08NXDNKDX

Overall, I was pleased that it didn't weigh a lot so I can imagine you could pack in on bike travels without too much effort... Hope you find a good solution for the presta valves...

£20 is some upselling compared to the Temu prices..!!!

Might be tempted to get one from Temu though, tho check out... always worried that chemicals in the fluid will react with screen coatings, though... this used to be an issue with laptop screens and some cleaners...

Any tips on what to look out for...? I see they have different A ratings...

Is that the kit where you pull a little rubber seal back through the hole..? I saw one years ago being used and it was effective...

For less than a tenner, I agree that one might be a good thing to chuck in the boot...

Every day I want to buy a different Chinese watch for £7.98, or something I don't know what it does for £3.27

One tool that I use far more that I ever thought I would (and consequently have a number of them), is an LED strip head lamp. It creates a very bright but broad light that works far better than any head torch for working on cars/bikes etc.

USB rechargeable too, so no faffing with batteries.

Ordered a load of golf bits for the boy, all came within 2 weeks and all legit.

That said once ordered started to get a tonne of Temu junk mail.

It's the like the "go to" wholesaler for every eBay seller of "stuff"... 😂 😂

I found a similar site for all the weird and wonderful electrical goods and gizmos that you find on Amazon (you know, the stuff you see where the same product has different "brands")... Basically, just google a few and eventually you hit on a site linking you to buying these goods in bulk... It's like the old Tandy (Radio Shack for those in USA) Catalogue... Full of a billion things you'd buy just for the hell of it... but not sure what you'd need 500 of them for... 😂

I find AutoGlym rubber and vinyl care stuff easier to use and just as good TBH..and it's a lot cheaper.

They are all silicone-based jizz, so do the same thing.

Word of caution. Those make rubber look shiny and nice but gave squeaks in tail lid etc. The compound isn't great in my experience on seals and rubber stops etc.

Yep, disagree. Have both the AG and Sonax Gumifledger, the latter is much better.
