This is the latest info on this from Bilstein Germany.

"thank you very much for your enquiry and the interest in our products.

Attached to this e-mail you´ll find an extract of our catalog with your enquired products.

The mentioned B12 Kit is current on stock.

Please note the mentioned advices (sorry, only in German language available)

We are sorry but we can´t advise you a binding reference date for our B16 damptronic at the moment.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards

Bilstein Info
Components Technology - Damper
T: 02333-791-4021
bilstein.info@thyssenk rupp.com"

The prices, logically, are the official ones for Europe.

At the most, I'll wait for the summer to make my decision. As, surely, the B16 damptronic will still not available and I really don't need height adjust, I'll surely choose the B12 kit with Eibach sportline...

This is the suspension system I want for my car. I have the Dinan SW which I love but I want the drop without ruining my dampers with springs. I wonder if my Shockware will work with the bilstein system

Bilstein Damptronics was pushed back, again by a few months. It is the same for the F8x side.

I would have said to look into KW DDC however they aren't available for F3x side. I wouldn't be counting on Bilstein to release Damptronics any time soon. They have continuously pushed back Damptronics since 2015.

Bilstein B16 Damptronic for the F8X is available and on sale for a long time, at least in Europe...

It isn't for the US.

Supremepower has been attempting to get it for months now they keep telling us it's been delayed.

What Europe got is apparently different than US.

So it looks like these are just for RWD... anybody have any idea when the xDrive version is supposed to be out?

Not to reply to my own comment... but I reached out to Bilstein and got the following response:

Quote:
The B6 DampTronic shocks are cataloged for the F30 340i X Drive car in the German catalog but are still in the final stages of production and not yet released. We actually will not catalog the part here in the US market until it is out of final production and the parts arrive here in our warehouse. We are told that these shocks should be available August/September of this year. I would keep checking with us or in the US catalog for updates.
So for anyone else who's in the same boat as me and has been waiting for these for xDrive cars, sounds like that's the answer. Now I just have to decide if I want to wait, or say screw it and try Shockware again (failed the last time I tried to have it installed)...

Nothing yet. Based on how things have gone so far, I'm guessing that September is the absolute earliest we'll see anything.

Hello folks, I emailed Bilstein some time ago and here is the answer I got (I asked about the specific version for my X-Drive 440i GC) :

Thank you for your response, we´re finished the tests and the settings of the BILSTEIN DampTronic® shock absorbers perform better handling drive and enough comfort.

We´re planning the production of the BILSTEIN DampTronic® shock absorbers and the BILSTEIN B12 Pro-Kit suspension middle of October.

The BILSTEIN B12 Pro-Kit DampTronic® suspension lowering your vehicle of the FA -20mm and of the RA -15mm.

This suspension consists of BILSTEIN B6 DampTronic® shock absorbers combined with Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs, and it´s possible to order separate the parts.

The tests for the BILSTEIN B16 coilover DampTronic® are not ended, and it's not possible to give you more information.

Mixed bag of good and bad news.

The B6 Damptronic for rear axle X-Drive cars seems already available though, at least that's what the Bilstein online catalogue tells (part number 20-250744)

Thanks for the update. It looks like more testing is needed for B16 DampTronic coilovers.

Oh interesting that their B12 pro-kit is just the B6 damper with Eibach springs. I guess I'm half-way there already (put the Eibach springs on my F31 in May).

It's also nice to know that the B6 damptronics will pair well with lowering springs.

If you choose to go the lowering spring route you could always get the B6s and have a pretty good match

Seems appealing...

As far as I can tell, the rear axle part number is the same for RWD and xDrive--just waiting on the front axle parts...
