♦ MHD Flasher F+G-Series 1.31 UPDATE ♦

B58 specific update:

- We added a transmission choice menu for OTS maps. The DME can report an unscaled torque to the AT transmissions that have been flashed with xHP for improved transmissions operations.

- A particle filter delete flash options was added to make full power and no CEL if you remove the particle filter.

- Some minor bugs were corrected in the OTS maps, that were causing shadow codes.

Hi - I have a few q's - I have the MPPSK tune on my 340, is that version saved if I have to revert to 'stock'?
I have a '17 340 M-Sport, with track handling - do I need an upgraded IC for Stg 2?
Also, is there any iOS support, or do I have buy an Android device?

your mppsk tune is supposed to be saved in ur stage 0 file from my understanding but i myself have not down graded since i went up to stage 1.

no ios 😐.
you will need a android device / a proper k+dcan cable /and a ots usb c adapter.

worth it tho, your car will be noticeably stronger. even off stage 1
stage 2 i think just "requires" A downpipe.

I have a 2016 340i, just wondering how do these maps operate in regards to throttle response? I've read (and noticed) the throttle response in comfort and dsc-off is pretty linear, which I prefer over the frontloaded throttle in sport+. Will adding this tune keep the throttle characteristics the same throughout the drive modes?

I have MHD stage 2 and the throttle maps seem the same. I also prefer comfort throttle mapping.

looking for some insight on two logs i ran after flashing stage 2. Car has intake and downpipe. stock otherwise.

I'm not used to b58 tuning(compared to n55) so this may be normal. Seems wgdc is way too high, egt was huge, and timing correction seems to be higher than it should be. And the logger showed i had a random spike to 30+psi at the end. The car drove and felt good otherwise. Both were done with traction control off, trans in sport manual one in 3rd and one in 4th.

https://datazap.me/u/neonnblack/new-...og=0&data=3-19

https://datazap.me/u/neonnblack/log-...0&data=3-10-19

edit: the car got a cel for a super knock. among other things. cleared it and all is fine so far. i can't see this being anything but bad fuel?

hot and dry in the high desert. I added half a can of octanium to the gas. Hopefully it improves things.

i have issues with 540i automatic....car is hesitating between 1500 and 2000rpm....then above 2500rpm goes like crazy...
in addition to above after driving bit hard for a while ,as soon as i stop for a traffic lights car starts to act strangely. It stutters so much that sometimes i think engine stopped ...
MHD is reviewing map but haven't heard from them for a while.
I am on stage 1 95-103 octane map. Only mod I have is Remus exhaust which retains flap like original. In Croatia we don't have less than 95 but I am running on 100 Octane fuel
Do you also have some strange smell sometimes like burnt electronics/clutch, something like that?
My burble setting is on 0.7 sec 2200rpm STOCK LIKE.

Do these flashes take care of the catless downpipe CELs?

Trying to decide on which downpipe, and dont want CEL issues

Or should I be looking at catted versions?

Yes, with Bootmod3 or MHD, you can flash off the CEL that appears when using a catless dp.

Forgot to post in here, but I started a log review thread. I just want to compile as much data as possible so we can have some good data visible to everyone. I have bootmod3 but it's not limited to BM3. I am focusing on OTS tunes since custom tunes add a lot more variation. Feel free to post up and join the discussion.

The 95-103 Octane map is not "from 95 to 103" but rather 95 US method or 103 European method and with 100 you are below the 103 required

Big update for MHD F+G Series S55 & B58 users:
_______
- S55 update
◦ Pricing reduced!
◦ Added stage 2+ maps!
◦ Added a 460hp C.S style map and a 500hp G.T.S style map, included in the base flasher license!
◦ Stage 1 / 2 maps updated to 1.08 (improved timing).
◦ Added a switchable start-up roar option
◦ fixed OPF delete option
- b58
◦ all maps updated to 3.0
◦ added support for the upcoming XDI pump.
- Ignition turns off at end of a flash.
- For tuners: added a list of codes to deactivate (b58 / b58tu1) at flash time.
_______
The B58 users get fully updated 3.0 maps which will especially improve power on lower octane gas, we also improved smoothness, drivability and power delivery.
_______
The S55 licenses prices has been aligned with other engines, this means the Flasher license no longer costs 299 but 249 and the map packs are 99 instead of 149.

We also added CS & GTS style engine maps (included in flasher license), added GTS style startup roar and improved our ST1 and ST2 maps.

Fully new Stage 2+ maps are now available (included in the ST2 maps pack) which will target around 10-15HP peak power and up to 60nm of torque more than the Stage 2 variant. We highly recommend using this map only with high flow downpipes and NGK plugs.

MHD Stage 2 is great, nice options, smooth and solid power gains.

I use the 95 octane/102 RON map and blend E30, goes very well combined with xHP Stage 3 transmission tune, about 420 whp. I have stock downpipe and intake.

1. 16 - 19 PSI for my car it ramps up boost as the RPM increase, which I like
2. Nope
3. Not me. If you run the 95/102 map and use 93 octane fuel meth would help if you either don't want to use some E85 or don't have access to it.

Here's a link to a 4th gear data log with E30 blend fuel https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=111

They recommend it, but I'm not doing that.

The car goes great, logged data is very nice, making more power and torque than previous DervTech tune that ran 11.8@118mph.

If I can get a decent 60ft I think it'll do 11.5 or better with the MHD tune. This is in a little 1 series, so a nice weight advantage.
