It's amazing how your HP curve looks like a NA engine, usually B58s peaks around 5000 RPM and stay flat or even drop a bit from there.

I missed an opportunity but i'm hoping to soon. Just need to find someone that isn't upgrading turbos this winter.

You have to compare the tunes to understand. Instead of requesting 20psi and tapering to 10psi at redline, our cars hold 16psi flat. So you don't feel power drop off in the upper RPM range, but you also don't feel as hard of a shove up front. It performs more like a less responsive N/A engine than a torquey modern turbo engine.

I don't mind it, but I know some people have said that custom tunes help fill in the gap, but it won't necessarily make more power. Jut more torque down low.

My MP stage 2 dyno looked like that.
This is MP stage 2 vs stock. You can see how much they hold back in the stock tune as it just goes flat at 300whp from before 5k rpms (rpm scaling is a bit off as they couldn't get a good tach signal and got the 'speed to rpm' calc slightly wrong).

Must be more enjoyable to drive and feels like NA engines with that power curve instead of the flat HP curve.

I like the B58 but I definitely miss the NA engines era, I remember driving the E60 M5 when it came out and that NA V10 engine was incredible.

Agreed. And the turbo lag (whilst not bad) is such a pain in the ass. I guess only the (Jag 3.0l XE etc?) supercharged engines do away with it?

I did best of 410rwhp & 426 ft-lb STD on a Dyno Jet with just a JB4, intake, catted down-pipe, and 3 gallons of E85 mixed with 91 octane back when there were no flash tunes available. Later installed Pure Stage 1 turbo with meth and did almost 480rwhp with only 21 psi and we were going to finish tuning it around 25 psi with the JB4 + MHD custom back end flash.....unfortunately parted away and sold the car so i never got the real results and final tuning done.

Sorry bud, I just saw this message. Yes, I went to see Dave there but I don't think he's at that shop anymore. Great guy, very knowledgeable and down to earth. I think he's working on his own at this point. By the way, great numbers! I will not have the car for much longer so I didn't pursue the flash option. When I purchased the Activ-8, there were no flash tunes available for the B58. Aside from the normal bashing, I am very happy with the performance of this piggyback. The car put out very decent numbers, it pulls much harder than stock, never had a CEL (knocking on wood) and the gas mileage is exactly the same.
See you around Jax! Drive safe

This is Activ-8, Dinan CF Cold Air Intake and Dinan Mip-Pipe. The other dyno sheet from the same shop corresponds to a 440i that has the BM3 Stg 1. Maybe that's where the confusion came from.

Never said i'm on stock fuel system. I'm using a Dorch Engineering Stage 1 HPFP.

Edit: Just realized I forgot to list my HPFP in the video description, that's my bad.
