Question straight pipe or muffler delete N20

I need help deciding what would be best for my car? (2013 328IX)
straight pipe or a muffler delete?
I know they are basically the same thing but slightly different.
I want an increase in power and in sound.

(Only "Mod" I have in my car is an Injen intake, I am trying to get my car to stage 1)

You don't need either to get the car to stage 1 (assuming BootMod3). Get a chargepipe to be on the safe side and flash away.

Just a question... Have you driven a very loud car before? How long?

A straight pipe will be obnoxiously loud. The muffler delete would be a very little less obnoxious but still loud. You will get tired of very loud car.

So my advice is get muffler in there, straight muffler sold by magna flow or flow master will make it loud.

Try and look at higher flow downpipe or catless if you are up for it. That will make the car louder and would be better for power gains. I doubt muffler or midpipe delete would add any horse power.

Yeah i used to have a V8 5.7 camaro ... I wouldn't want my v4 sounding like a v12🤣 but just to have a slightly more aggressive sound with a good power gain...

Depends on the engine and other factors but anywhere between 10-20 HP. Also high flow or catless Downpipe allows for easier faster turbo spooling as it reduces back pressure. I would put my money into a good downpipe if performance is what you are after. I would highly suggest you do more reading on this so you know what you are getting into.

Its a v4 2.0 N20 (240HP) , im not looking for crazy performance since it is just a 328 not a 335 but i want HP around just under 300HP just so its faster than stock

Look into getting the car tuned, that will give you what you want in terms of performance. Bootmode3 should be on your list.
FYI, there are no V4’s, it’s inline 4 or just 4
Good luck.

I did a muffler delete and it sounds amazing. Considering doing a downpipe next to straight pipe it but for now, I'm just chilling on stage 1 tune + bolt-ons.

I don't think doing a muffler delete really gives you any performance gains. Same with a downpipe (unless paired with a tune). It's really just for sound benefits.
