Catted downpipe options for pre 10/12 models

The only catted DP I see for 09/12 production N20 is the ER but it's almost 1k with the ceramic coating. Wagner is only 790 but it's for Oct-12 and higher :/

Those two companies would be the only one's I would've guessed offered it... I'm wondering what the difference between a 9/12 build date and 10/12 build date is? You might be able to swing the Wagner...

EDIT: I looked on realoem, and the part numbers for both the 9/12 and 10/12 downpipe and 02 sensors (lambda probe fixings) and everything that goes with them are the same. Not sure what the difference is. Try asking Wagner, but it looks like they're the same... same part numbers at least.

yeah, catted is less popular and will always be more expensive. Any reason you'd want catted over catless?

Why not go catless?

I'm sure you've heard it before, but IMO the smell is effectively a non-issue. I hardly ever smell it, and I stand behind the car often (just lookin' around while she warms up) and always drive with the windows down.

I'm not trying convince you as it sounds like you've made your own decision, which I will respect of course, but just expressing my thoughts to you so you can make the most educated decision possible

Yeah, my experience is the same. Smell doesn't penetrate the car with the windows up and even with them down and at a stop light, it smells the same as usual (Nice gassy smell from 20 cars surrounding you lol). I thought about it at first as I have people in my car a lot, as well, to include my SO who is a little picky (lol). Turned out to be much better than I thought. In the end, the extra $400-$500 wouldn't have been worth it for me.

im not sure how many cell is the stock cat but this is 400 cell vs the 200 cell (ER/Wag). still better flowing than the stock one but im actually unsure how much.

also ive seen these on sale from time to time for around $600 or so.

The stock cat is also 400 cpsi but the length and volume of catted portion on the afe appears smaller, thus higher flow, I'd imagine.
