Should I buy a used 335d that had a EGR recall?
Hello everyone,
I am looking to buy a new (used) car and I found one 335d touring that is nice but it had a ERG recall. The dealer says that they had to change intake bridge, both turbochargers and the intercooler last autumn, which is a bit weird to me since I read on online forums that repairs are usually smaller. Other than that the car seems nice. It is a MY 2015 and it has 60 000km. What do you think? Is that a red flag or everything should be fine? Thanks! |

Recall work is needed from time to time. If the dealer fixed it properly, it should be good to go.
The 335d's turbo seals tend to leak after some time, so I'd be glad the dealer replaced them. 60k kms is what I'd consider low-mileage. As with any used car, there are certain risks. If the price is right and I needed to buy a car, I'd strongly consider it.

If it's a Premium Selection car, then you can add a year on guarantee for an additional cost (total 3 years). I did it on mine when I bought it. Be careful though, you can't add it afterwards.
