What dyno numbers should I be happy with?
Hi guys!
I have a 2013 F30 N55 PWG. I have the following: CSF FMIC Injen intake VRSF catless downpipe AFE fatback exhaust Stage 2+ MHD tune Stage 3 XHP Flash The car was dyno'd about a week ago on 91 oct and made 335WHP 415WTQ. The car is currently at the same shop it was dyno'd at getting the following installed: Big boost 3.4 kit Spool FX150 HPFP Spool stage 3 LPFP 3.5 bar The shop will be working with wedge to tune it. I'll have a 91 and an e50 map. I plan on getting a PI kit and a meth kit in the future. But for now I'm hoping to get 600 to the wheels out of this set up. I have a buddy I've been talking to from here that also has a PWG n55 with the big boost kit (and a lot more) that said I should easily make around 600 to the wheels. What do you guys think? Maybe throw some guesses and let's see who's the closest once it's all done haha. |

you shouldn't need to do PI and meth with the upgraded fuel pumps. you should be at or slightly above 600 with your mods. I wouldn't push it past that though. The stock internals cant handle much more than that reliably.

The only thing making me feel like I may not reach 600 wheel is that the 2 main youtubers who have installed the big boost kit (slowspeeds & boo5t) both only reached about 550whp. I'm assuming it comes down to the tune? Also, I don't plan on going above 600 at all.. As soon as I hit 600whp I will be extremely content. |

I've talked to slowspeed and he told me his trans slipped pretty bad with his 3.4 kit. Also found it interesting Boo5t was so quick to sell his car after it seemed like he just got his set up completely finished. From my research the ZF8 50HP cannot really handle above 550 torque. If you are set on achieving 600+ whp I would consider doing a Pure stage 0 ZF rebuild. |

I am not sure why you did the LPFP but if you are planning to push into high enough boost and ethanol mix to warrant that, you should probably upgrade EKP as well. Stock LPFP probably would have been enough, but it would have been close.
I would also +1 for not needed meth or PI, and for staying around 550whp. With around e40 you probably could make that with stock LPFP and the HPFP you mentioned. You might have wanted to go with the fx180 if you want to go high boost and high ethanol. Anyways, I doubt you will make over 500whp on CA 91. I would keep your 91 tune conservative. |

Well if he got the stage 3 lpfp with hobbs switch from fuel it then the EKP should be fine as it only switches on when high boost is demanded because it has its own addiontal pump as well no?

Yeah with hobbs switch it can be OK. Realistically it shouldn't even really be needed without PI. Its just running a stage 3 LPFP on stock EKP that is problematic.

Watch a few videos from his 435i build. The n55 will make the power numbers youre looking for but the transmission wont put the power down anywhere besides a 4th gear pull on the dyno. He sold the car because its not the right platform for 600+ numbers without dumping more money then its worth. |

What Dyno number you should be happy with is a question only you can answer. The more $ you dump and mods you do the more you'll achieve. If you want numbers go get a hell cat lol

I don't know much about his set up but I know he's an automatic whether it's still be the ZF or a DCT, I agree 600 hp/600 wheel torque is right at the outer limit of the ZF |
