I never made an opinion because the car has not be unveiled yet. I had two e92's so obviously I loved that design, but for people to submit judgment in the form of "fugly" or "e92 all day thx" or "BMW should listen to our opinions and make a car we want" before even seeing the finished result is exactly what I said before: Troll like behavior |

As for the car, I don't think it looks better or worse, just evolutionary. No real surprises, it looks basically how I would expected a two door F30 to look. The real surprise is that it basically looks like the F30 with two doors. I thought there would be more of a difference with all the 4 series marketing talk. However, it looks like a worthy successor, but just not a major improvement in the looks department. (However, i will be interested in the 335 and the eight speed transmission with better gas mileage ) The F33 will be a beautiful car. however, the E93 will still look great next to the F33 when it gets here. I don't think it will look dated at all and only hard core BMW guys will be able to tell the difference, frankly. As for me, I am happy to drive my E93 now and I will strongly consider the F33 when the time comes to replace it. I like it, but BMW will be very proud of it ($$) when it first comes out. When I am ready, prices will be rational by then and any bugs will be worked out. It will be a great, good looking car. |

I guess I was referring more to the people saying the car is 'ugly' based on these camo spyshots.. AND yes, paying canadian prices does suck! Cheers! |

You guys all know why BMW's so conservative on their design... SO THEY COULD SELL LATER LCI MODELS BY MAKING THEM LOOK PRETTIER. They have to leave out certain design elements to look blunt so they could continue to sell for 6 years...Its too obvious by now.. I hope they change their strategy. Its quite annoying.

Lol not yet at least. Its not even out yet, just wait until the f32 is out and about a year in with all the m performance parts and mods, then you'll regret it and want to trade it in for the f32 trust me

HOWEVER, it is the front (aka the most important side on a car) that looks WAY too similar to the F30. This is just terrible. This is just absurd considering BMW is positioning/differentiating the 4 series to be higher/different than the 3 series, YET they put out a front for the 4 series that is less differentiated than the e90 vs e92 front. FAIL. |

Not sold. I think recent BMW speaks different design language
Wait and see how the M-sport version looks.

I think the figure 8 opening of the front bumper just exposes too much plastic and that is what is turning people off. They should have kept the camo on this part of the car. It does looks awkward in this pic, They're really not any smaller than the openings on the concept.

+1 the prototype looked good and edgy then just as I feared they made it plain boring.
The sad thing is some of the folks even here were criticizing the prototype as too edgy and wanted it a bit toned down. I guess they got their wish of boring toned down design. As for those saying wait to see it in person. Yeah get what your are saying. But if these are the actual final versions that are about to go on sale. Then you have to be blind not to see that the design is dulled down boring version of the prototype.

But I don't get BMW anymore. The 2 series addition seems necessary due to it looking completely different to the 1 series hatch, but the 4 series addition is so redundant now since it's literally a F30 with 2 doors. Also, what's up with the headlight meeting the the kidneys in some models, and then not doing it for the rest? Quote:
