Fully agree. People think a light is broken when only one is on when the steering wheel is turned in the according direction.
Its completely superflous as should I want the fog lights on, i would turn them on. But there is nothing one can do. it is as it is. maybe coding and all that but im not one to code stuff. around here any tinkering voids a warranty. |

Only two choice:
1) turn on the fog light all the time (as you have mentioned) 2) turn off the auto light

As mentioned above, put the lights on manually, not in Auto.
It is becoming a standard feature on most European cars, so people will quickly get used to it

Wait? In the F30 the fog lights act as turning lamps?

Many cars do this. If others are ignorant, why do you desire to support their ignorance? I hope you never realize how many people believe buying a BMW is a complete waste of money. You will be afraid to take your car out of the garage. |

Likewise - I coded my rear lights to come on with the DRL. My friend said everyone will think I'm riding the brake the whole time. If they're so stupid as to not realize the high mounted center brake light isn't on, then their opinion doesn't really mean anything anyway

The mercedes C class has been doing this since the W204 came out as well and it cannot be coded out on that car. Would be pretty interested to see if BMW modders can get it done.

You can turn it on / off with coding. Have a look in the big coding thread towards the end and the lines to be changed are listed. Or have a look in the coding database

My 2008 UK mondeo had cornering lights but an additional halogen bulb was at 90 deg to the main bulbs. It was superb when turning off main roads at night

Do you mean that if you code the front "amber" lights to be completely off when headlights are on then it will disable the "turning" lights as well?

While I don't like the look, it works great at night for me. When I pull into my garage it's pretty much a 90 degree turn. The extra light really comes in handy in that situation.
