idrive software update / 330 xdrive 2017

Hi guys,

Idrive system started switch of/switch off every 5 minutes. Navigation is unavailable. dealer offered to upgrade codes for $1200. If it doesnt resolve the issue - $3200 for head unit replacement.
Im looking for alternative upgrade of software.
