Thanks it’s a rare one for sure! Don’t think I’ve seen another in the UK and only a handful of photos of other cars.

Any plans to install the rest of the M Performance aero? Or is the car too low for the lip and side blades?
Thanks, no plans due to the exact reasons you mention!

Sadly not a fraction of the cost for the forged wheels! These more double the price I paid for a set of brand new BBS CX-R’s on my old E91 Touring.

If I were you I'd get these or something similar (they make them in carbon as well). Will give it the m performance look without sacrificing ride height.

The A686 (Hartside Pass) never disappoints in terms of driving satisfaction and also stunning views!

Sorry for the pic spam but very happy with how the car is looking now!

Been a while since I’ve posted any updates, but I took trip down to Vagbremtechnic today, to get some progress made on my custom rear big brake set up.

This kit will consist of the M2 4 piston 2NH brake calipers with the 380x30mm M2 2NH discs.

The custom brackets are now signed off and next job is to get the calipers painted up in Porsche speed yellow.

After 4 years on the car, the front brakes needed a refresh (the front pads had only worn by 2mm after all this time!!) however the discs had done 3 winters and were looking a tad tired. My OCD could not allow brand new discs on the rear and tired looking ones on the front!

The rear brakes needed to be painted in Speed Yellow - so I decided to send the fronts off too, so everything now looks brand new. The caliper refurbishment was done by Brake Caliper Refurbs in Rochdale and the calipers received new seals all round and the bleed nipples were changed to titanium, to prevent any issues in the future - also added HEL braided lines this time around.

Everything on the front end got re-fitted this weekend and the rears should be going on within the next couple of months - once the brackets have been made in steel.

Update - REAR KIT.

I’ve been working on this in the background with Vagbremtechnic (VBT) for some time now. There have been various unexpected delays due to their workload and this been something of a passion project that they had agreed to work on as and when they had spare time.

However, the wait was well worth it and it now completes the look and feel of the car. The set up is as follows:

F87 M2 Comp 2NH / F8x CCB 4 pot brake calipers
VBT custom machined steel mounting brackets
F87 M2 Comp 2NH 380mm rear discs
F87 M2 Comp 2NH brake pads
HEL performance braided lines

Notes: this rear set up will only work on F3x cars with the larger 185mm diameter hand brake. If your car has the smaller 165mm version - this would not be suitable as you would loose your handbrake option!

I am super happy with how it all turned out!

I don’t, because this isn’t an xDrive!

Quick update - made an effort today to go and get some proper pics taken of the car!

2 months on since the rear brake upgrade, and they are excellent.

I have also carried out a full Bang & Olufsen retrofit into the car over the last few months along with full sound deadening inside the doors and door cards. Its 1200w of OEM goodness and blows the HK out of the water!

Anyway, the pics!
