Thanks for your advice and opinion Mark.
Thanks also to you Bill for your voice of reason ! So . . . at the moment, that's one vote each. Like you Bill, I have never found the 328i wanting, but maybe, just maybe I'm hankering after going back to that beautiful straight six engine. All my previous BMWs have had the straight six, and I know there's really no justification for it. I'll be 70 in a few weeks, it might be the last car I buy

I'm only 65, but as the majority of my driving consists of back and forth to my golf course a mile and a half from home my '15 could very well outlast me. I doubt I'll reach 50k miles before I hit 80. Years, that is. I still regularly break 80 on the course.

I've had a 6cyl before, I did quite a few Test drives with the 335i, but i've chosen the 328i. My verdict: There's three reasons to buy the 335i: German Autobahn at speeds over 160 kph, sound and the different exhaust looks. At speeds below 130kph you will not really feel a lot of difference in power to the 328i. In the end, if you're not driving in germany the 335i is not really worth the extra money. (Unless Sound is that important to you)
