2016 F34 SiriusXM Signal Issues
Hi All - new to the forum with a recently-purchased 2016 328GT. I've had SXM on various vehicles for the past several years & have been having issues rolling the subscription to the GT.
In iDrive, I can navigate to the satellite radio menu & I only have channel 1 available, and the audio comes in like Wayne ordering at the drive thru - choppy, not even getting a full word coming in. I've registered the radio ID to my SXM account & refreshed the signal on my own several times. I've worked with general SXM support who have refreshed & with their technical support who have also refreshed & tried researching to no avail. I've reset the radio by holding the power button >30s, AM/FM/BT/WiFi all seem to be functioning normally. Not sure if this is a chipset issue (should be on the XM vs Sirius setup with 2016 MY), antenna issue (rare?), radio issue, or what. Anyone experience anything similar? |

That’s the default channel when your head unit hasn’t been authorized.
You have either given SiriusXM a bad receiver ID or your unit isn’t taking the authorization. |
