I ordered from here http://faulknerbmwpartssource.com/pa...&siteid=216042
With shipping it was $250. Not cheap, but the best price I could find.

Outward hound pet hammock $16 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Ruff Riders harness (crash tested) $43 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 PetBucke strap to secure dog harness to LATCH anchor (also crash tested) $13 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 In my opinion, the crash testing of the harness and other components is key, otherwise there is a big safety risk. Also, I have not seen any marks on the door so I am not clear on the need to pay an order of magnitude higher price for the OEM door protectors. |

I just picked up my car a couple weeks ago and put the cover in for the dog. I like it a lot, and it does cover everything. But it's almost like it's too big. I know it's not made for the F30 so I can't complain too much. It does bunch up in front of the back seat, and where the seat back and cushion meet. Is anyone else having that issue, and if so, did you figure a way to make it fit better? I think if I were shorter, and had the seats further up, this may not happen.

One solution might be to get 2 dowels, lay it on the crevice of each seat, then shove it between the seat back and cushion. |

It's the cover mentioned in the first post. The cover is between the vent and the dog, but the vent is not blocked.

If you use the entire cover, it does indeed block the rear vents. I only use half of it so the rear vent is still useful. That being said, even if the rear vent is blocked, I doubt the dog will overheat. |

The E46 cover I used for years covered most of the area in-between the front seats and my Samoyed never overheated. Just made sure the vents were aimed up a bit. Still I'd like to get one with cutouts.

This sounds like a good idea. Perhaps cutting out a hole for the vents and then hemming the edges would work.

Maybe because I have my seats back, but there is at least a foot between the vent and the cover. The air kind of hits the cover and reflects back up front. For sure the dog won't overheat regardless of the vent though.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but the dog covers are discontinued from BMW and all the other sources. Do any of you fine folks have a BMW cover that you would like to part with due to a car being sold or otherwise have no use for? Just picked up a 340i 6spd with a red interior and don't want the german shepherd to destroy it in 6 months. Thanks a ton!

No seat covers in my F33. Husky rules the car. She knows how to drop the top (SmartTop installed). I never thought to look for BMW made seat covers.
Not so happy in my F39 since she can’t drop the top but I installed a seat cover by CAT. The Shepherd rides in the back with a $40 dog cover from Amazon. |

I use a similar no name full seat cover I got off eBay for $40, works for my doggo in both her on and off modes.
