Spacers Recommendations?

Hey guys, so I am currently purchasing a 435i M Sport and the guy who had it before had spacers on the wheels. He told me that he had 15mm in the front and 12mm in the rear. Is that a good set up? I was doing some reading and most people go larger in the rear. I'm assuming he had it like that because he wanted the wheels to line up straight when looking from the front since the rear of the car is wider. But I see a lot of people going larger in the front than the back. Does anyone have a pic of 15mm in the front and 12mm in the rear? What are your guy's opinions on that set up?

Plenty of pics online, BMS has a good article with photos.

It depends if you're stock height or lowered.

If you have 704 sport suspension can you share a pic of that setup? I'm about to put sport springs on my 435i with 19's as well and have been wondering how it may look.

Then I recommend 12 mm front and 15-18 mm rear for a flush look. H&R sets with longer bolts are one of the great (but pricey) options.

Maybe this would be helpful for you, too:

thanks for the vid. I might have to switch them then if that's the case. cause i would think it would be weird if the front end is wider than the back

Watch the Kies video that someone posted a link on. It's a great illustration of the spacer options.

Spacer choice is so dependent on the wheel width, wheel offset, tire width and tire tread width. Don't attempt to compare photos of two cars or even two cars in person unless you know those values. Otherwise you can spend money on spacers only to get different results on your own car.

I wanted a flush look and went with 10mm front and 12mm in back. If I did it over I'd do 12mm up front and 15mm in the back. Spacers are such a subtle mod but they really do give the car a better stance.
