What do you mean by 'compatible' ? They both are two different tuning options.

Can't find any info on the updated XHP flash for the B58? Not on their FB account or website...
Flashed this morning and had no issues. Definitely noticed the difference after letting the transmission adapt for a little bit.

Quicker than I thought it'd be. Total about 15 mins

Thank you Jarek!!!! This was very helpful to me and others I am sure.

SO, here is an INDEPENDENT log from a happy MG Flasher driver on st2 93 octane to check out. This is with the de-cat option Jarek is talking about for a bit higher HP, and on my 6 Speed manual in 4th gear.

With the horsepower calculation Jarek mentioned we can all see my b58 is seeing 451 internal horsepower (6006rpm x 534.5 nm) / 7120 = 450.8 horsepower. I'd say I'm pretty happy.

I have plans to go to the dyno in a few weeks, hoping to get baseline runs with st1, st2, and maybe an ethanol blend if ready (no pressure Jarek ). I'll post those up too. --MW

Has there been any updates to the OTS Stage II map since it was released based on user feedback or further refinements?

No support yet from xHP for my specific transmission- I've contacted them for more info. I've got the tranny coded 8B7G for anyone who may be interested or having similar issues when looking for xHP upgrade (2016 340i xDrive, 8 speed)

American typecodes sometimes say "G" instead of 7. (on the last digit) We had 8B77 in our database, now added 8B7G as well.

Gave it a shot, it quits the process on me 3 diff times att 89% and now I have all kinds of error codes from the tranny. HELP!
EDIT: was finally able to emergency flash back to stock mode after the failed software download. LUCKILY I had a 2nd Thor adapter after my 1st one crapped out.

MG Flasher update release ver. 1.2.6

Please download and update your App and your car with new refined ST2 OTS map ver 2.1 – our database is updated with following changes:

• We tested newly released software by xHP Flashtool for 8HP50 transmission on our 340i MPPSK. We applied some improvements and refined our ST2 OTS map ver 2.1 which is perfect match with xHP transmission solution
• Torque curve improvement – some of the US and EU software versions had minor issues with holding the torque curve post 4000 rpm
• MG Flasher App minor fix - issue related to the flash history, wrong time zone handling and problem where the log filename would not include map description

More coming soon!

My transmission is 8B3C from the VIN, but the xHP site does not list it. I tried to contact them through their site but the message bounced. Not sure why mine doesn't show as supported.

Edit: Well, either they added it since yesterday, or I somehow missed it.

Got my xhp flash yesterday so will be trying the new stage 2 as soon as I get home.

I didn't get the option to do a backup with the xhp flash? Just went straight into installation and then map install. No backup.

Did you clear app data and try to log in fresh? I had that happen in early beta and I'm pretty sure this was the fix. Assuming you are using the correct Google Play login, right?

Otherwise, email Jarek. He will get you settled. --MW

Purchased XHP flash tool and flashed stage 2 map.
Also flashed stage 2 of MG Flasher.

Just need to take it slow the first 50 miles, so asap I will let you guys know how that all works out.

So far I noticed 3 things with XHP stage 2:
- Shifting in comfort mode is a little bit higher in the rev range
- Manually shifting with the paddles is even quicker than normal
- Shift indicator in D

Why not stage 3?

Do a quick run from 3rd to 4th on the highway in sport +. You won't regret it. Just don't get pulled over, but you still won't regret it
