f30 328 exhaust option (AWE)

Does anyone have any thought on putting AWE 335i axleback exhaust on a 328i? I have already done a 335i diffuser conversion, so that shouldn't be the problem. The main concern here is if the 335i axleback will fit to the 328i stock midpipe? Or what kind of fabrication I should do to make it fit?

The 328i exhaust pipe around the dipple where you cut to fit in an axleback exhaust is just a bit smaller than the AWE exhaust pipe. Some people weld them but I won't do that so you can uninstalled your AWE anytime you want. I think there a clamp out there that will work.

As for the exhaust hanger they should be on the right place.

Good luck

I've been looking at something similar, I like the dual exit look and was going to opt for the 335i m performance exhaust.

The 328i pipe is 75mm and the 335i pipe is 80mm, I'm going to be getting a reducer/expander and getting the official clamps one 80mm, the other 75mm to connect the two ends together.

I've not come across one so far, which is why I've looked at the reducer method...if you could provide a link that'd be useful.

I gave up today. My car is a gt it is hard to install. I receive my awe today and ended up trying to sell them now lol.
But I guarantee if will sound fire. Go watch on YouTube like Kiesmotorsports. Awe is so good😭 if not for my car is a gt model. I’ll definitely do it. I think you should do it 💪

Why is my local shop saying something like awe is not stainless, if I do the welding it might not be 100% secured so it might cause a exhaust leak at some point in the future. And they show me like the stainless steel is magnetic but when they put put magnetic near awe it doesn’t react to the magnetic so they say it is not stainless but poor quality??

Why don't you clamp an extension on the AWE and weld that extension to the stock midpipe that way you don't F**k up the AWE for later reselling.

Seriously find another shop... they seem to not know what they are doing.
