I'm nowhere near as good a driver as most of the people on here, obviously, and the guy is obviously a tool for doing that in a completely inappropriate place. However, when I hired a Lamborghini Gallardo LP580S in Vegas I was amazed how quickly it could get messy with the traction control on, never mind off. I was in a safe place (middle of the desert) but if you mash the throttle you can very quickly be pointing in the wrong direction.

What an absolute clunge. Did you see there were two pedestrians coming up the pavement? If he had set off a couple of seconds earlier....
The best part is the tree, guaranteeing a write off I would think.

Nothing wrong in having a play but there is a time and place, like you did in the middle of no where, if you'd have done it down the strip things would have been a bit different. I'd have never dared to a race start in my M5 as things would have gone badly wrong very quickly....I did do it in my M3 on a quiet road and yes it all went wrong! But no one was around so that's ok!

Don't get me wrong I have zero talent when it comes to car control but I recognise that and make sure I don't over step the mark (when others are about)

I once went on a fun driving day that included a skidpan and some other stuff. The only one I scored highly on was manoeuvring whilst on a mobile, apparently I was a dab hand at it, you'd think I had done it before... |
