American's don't know how to park...

....and thus need front and rear PDC.

Can someone please confirm if a F30 M Sport comes with front PDC as standard? It looks like it does but need to confirm.

I think it's only the proper engines that it comes as standard.

The rest need to specify it or have it as part of parking package,

The BMW Technical Specification PDF is anything but clear. But when I quoted by 325d it did say front/rear PDC but wanted to be 100% sure as have not spec'd any Park Assist type packages.

What qualifies a "proper" engine?

If you look on the configurator, you will see that Front and Rear PDC is standard from the 325d and upwards. The 320d only gets Rear PDC as standard, if you want fronts then you would need to spec them.

As Alex has said.

Having 1 car with front and rear and one with only rear, you do actually miss them and they come in handy for close in manoeuvring.

Having come from a 525d with Front and Rear PDC I am certainly missing them in the new car.

I use the front more than the rear if anything, I would hate parking without both front and rear as I can't see a thing

+1 and especially with M Sport body kit .... Far too easy to stuff the underside of the front bumper on a kerb that is a tad higher than you originally thought!
