I’m at 9-10 ish degrees at 17 psi on 93/94 octane pump gas.
I’m running no ethanol right now... I’d like too but my HPFP is at its limits as is... I’ve spiked the tank with race gas and tested... hasn’t made a huge difference (timing may be a touch cleaner on long hard pulls deep into 4th-5th gear but probably not warranted considering the cost) I may be able to run e30 and tune touch leaner (mid 12s) with less boost and more timing but we haven’t tried and I’m happy with how car is running on pump. 94 octane pump: http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5b5b21c0d10b43626a89d557 Last edited by F30_SixSpeed; 07-28-2018 at 11:39 AM.. |

Ive got the PS2 (PWG), with the TTFS HPFP.
I use Pump fuel only(99 Octane over here in the UK, think the US equiv is 93?) with a custom ECU tune. TTFS will provide support with the purchase of the pump as the car will not run without some basic calibration. With a base map from TTFS, my tuner built the map from there. The car was tuned back in Sept / Oct 2018, and IIRC we were running 22-23psi (unsure of timing), and the car makes 512bhp. At this point we hit the octane limit of the engine, but both turbo and fuel pump will do more. To go further, Id either have to lower compression, run higher octane fuel, ethanol, or, the solution Im curently working on, fit methanol injection. As soon as I got the car back from being mapped, I also realised that the std open diff is useless at this power level, if your thinking about PS2 and TTFS HPFP, also budget in for an LSD - I went M Performance plated.... |
