Collection day!
Ok another non bmw in the house but still.
SEAT Ateca 2.0tsi Excellence with parking assist in Rhodium grey. Ordered beginning of May and just in time before SEAT stopped taking orders for the 2.0 tsi it transpired, delivered to dealer last week. Not bad considering I was always quoted September at earliest through out. Went through drive the deal and dealership is in Ashford so bit of a trek but I'd rather pick it up in person than get it delivered via someone driving it. 0% finance and still got a good discount so a lot of car for the cash. Detuned golf gti lump at 190bhp so not fast but not slow. Fully loaded with kit so although it is the wife's daily I won't be unhappy driving it. |

So how is it?
I'm still a bit annoyed at SEAT cancelling our order, although it will have worked out just fine with the replacement XC60 T5 (250bhp) on its way.

Having spent a few hours in it now it's a nice car. Looks good and has all the toys as standard but I am now used to adaptive cruise control which would have been nice on the m25 today!
It has loads of space inside and drives very nicely. The detuned gti lump pulls well but is obviously still quite tight. Surprised a few people with its turn is speed and no drama on a motorway. First time I've used android auto and it's great for having waze on the main screen. SEAT nav is ok but not as clear as idrive version. It displays what gear it's in with usual S or M but I kept forgetting it only has 7 years so wondering why it wouldn't change up! Over all nice car, I can see why people drive suvs for the driver height as it is handy to see what's going on. I may even be more tempted by an X bmw when the Volvo goes back now. |
