New Digs: More Space. More Performance. AWE Tuning.
25 years in the making, AWE Tuning has out performed its current space, and is movin' on up to a deluxe space roughly 3x current. More space to grow our Audi, BMW, Porsche, VW and McLaren lines, with room to progress down the road ahead. More space, more performance. Coming Summer 2015. Building progress updated frequently, right here. |

The Space
We didn’t just pick any old building when moving, we had a list of must-haves that was longer than… well it was long. We finally landed on a ~32,000 sq-ft building. It had the space, location, and some great other features that we were after, like tons of loading docks and space for our expanding team. At this point, it’s a humongous square, and as you’ll see in a few more posts as we catch up to present, it’s all about the demolition right now. Tons of old cement walls to take out. There’s a massive garage door entrance, great for no-worries car entrance. And since 95% of what AWE Tuning builds goes out on a truck every day to dealers in over 75 countries 3 new loading docks are going to be a welcomed change for our shipping department and UPS/Fed-Ex alike. This this won’t be open space for long, walls, lifts, machines, and more coming soon! Next, we’re going to start knocking down walls. |

Construction
Now that the fun part is nearing completion (knocking stuff down), we can get started on the exciting part (putting stuff up). We haven’t wasted any time, as you can see there is already framing for rooms and offices. More soon! |

Construction: Part II
Things are moving right along at the new building. We have some new windows and rooms, and offices are beginning to take shape. What you’re looking at here is the “R&D” corridor which will house all of the engineering lifts with a big fat pass through for the 3-D Scanner to flow between the cars and the engineering stations in the office area. The space is well lit - sunlight = inspiration. Lots of skylights throughout. And new windows galore, taking what was a big box to a big box with light! |

Power Pit
Ladies and Gentlemen we have a dyno! Ok, we have pit where we can put a dyno... but we can already smell the horsepower. We’ll be doing a specially engineered dyno cell, which will go right about here. We’ll have a window right from the reception area so any visitors can watch the “Moment of Truth.” |

Walls and more walls.
Things are really starting to come together. So many projects are now entering the final stages of construction. We are little over a month from move in-- things are going to start happening very quickly. Here’s a shot of the future home of our shipping and receiving manager, right on the floor to keep an eye on things. The soon-to-be R&D department. Insulation in the main office area is done, so much that they have drywall up. Transums for maximum light. The beginnings of the dyno cell! Stay tuned as there will be almost daily changes from here! |

Nice, glad to see everything come together!
One of the cars in our Bimmerfest booth had your M4-specific exhaust system, sounds great! Keep it up

...And then there were stilts.
Kind of need some of these. I think these are the Touring Edition. Putting the finishing touches on some of the drywall work. |
