Good luck! Always nice to save some money if possible, Lord knows once you get the mod bug going it doesn't stop any time soon...

very nice! those photos look professional, well done. glad to start seeing some good looking cars w/o all the m sport stuff. giving me hope that an f30 can definitely look good without going that route.

Yeah I wanted to upgrade without paying a whole lot of money since my car is somewhat of a budget build. The wheel was around $250 with shipping from "Coby Wheel dot com" and basically you send him your wheel and he wraps it in Alcantara and can do whatever stitching, stripe color, etc and can thicken it. I pulled the trigger because other wheels are around $1000 and no way in hell im paying that

First exterior mod was wheels and the grille. First mod ever was the intake though for that sweet diverter noise lol.

starting with wheels, bold. I waited 2 years to shell out for mine. I believe it went aluminum pedal covers -> K&N filter -> lip spoiler -> piggyback tune -> exhaust-> grilles -> wheels/tires to now just ordering F80 spoiler and skirts.

damn $250. thats a great price. I was thinking you paid the $1000 for a whole new one. I might actually consider what you did now though...

I worked with my buddy who is a BMW master tech. We tried to do it via removing the coolant pipe and elbow pipe, but not enough room to get the bolt and pull it out. So we did it the normal way of loosening the manifold. If you want to do it yourself, you can. Loosen the manifold, pry it off some and remove. Extra pair of hands always helps.

Yeah, I was dumb tbh. I was new to cars believe it or not (Only been doing this for two years) and thought "Sure, get some 17s to fit these new runflats that came with the car". I should've sold the runflats and upgraded to 19s.. Lol... Yeah, I went intake > wheels/grille > headlights > muffler delete > dinan sport tune > coilovers > M-Sport front bumper > DP/CP/TIC/exhaust/FMIC/BM3 > sport wheel > GFB > HIDs (finally..) > bigger turbo. Toss in some coding in there as well for 2TB and what not.

Honestly, it's a better route. I wasn't a fan of the M-Sport wheel and went to the Sport wheel from the standard baseline one. Cheaper and you can get it wrapped.

hahaha, I don't know about dumb, I guess you just jumped in head first. my 328i was/is actually my first car (I'm only 19, have had it for 2 years) so I was very new to modifying cars as well, so I took baby steps, also partly due to the fact that my "mod fund" is only bolstered by summer job pay.

I actually love the M3/Msport wheel, but I also love the look of the modified base/sportline wheel. I might actually look into that soon.

Oh, I only went with intake, grille, and wheels for the first year. Wasn't until I studied a ton on it that I actually dove into the performance aspect. Now I'm looking at some other cheaper ways to safely protect the engine.

I know it's probably the most popular topic on the cosmetic lighting subform, but I see some of you who said you have base cars running HID/Xenon/LED headlights. what are some good options for going from OEM halogens to HID/Xenon/LED? the less complicated/expensive the better.

fender flares... unique, nice, I like them. They'll probably look great once finished. OEM+ like that is definitely the move if that's your style. what do you mean by bar delete with the front fenders?

Click on the Pic and you will see. The f80 comes with that horizontal bar, I got that filled just leaving the vent.
