Help!
I had two major oil leaks on my 14' 328d, Valve cover and oil cooler. repaired the leaks and decided to change the injectors at the same time(replaced copper gaskets). The car will start but runs very rough and throws codes for cylinder #1 being out of spec for the injector. I recoded the car for the new injectors. Autel 808 says change injector or check compression. I have tried the old injector with no luck. Any ideas on something obvious that I'm missing? This thing has about whipped me! 192K maybe its time for the junk yard!

Sorry, cannot help with your issue.
But I am impressed with the high accumulated mileage. Please comment on typical mission (i.e. mostly Interstate). Oil change frequency, any timing chain issue, etc. Thank you in advance. |

I had a similar issue after replacing my valve cover gaskets and cleaning the intake manifold. Turns out when I did the job I left one of the copper injector gaskets down in the bore, it was so grimy down there you really couldn't see it. The other gaskets came out attached to the injectors, I didn't realize that one didn't.
So when I put new gaskets on I ended up with two gaskets on one of the injector bores. The car ran but kept getting injector codes, so i ordered a new injector. I found my error when I went to install the new injector and realized I had a double gasket stuck down there. They're a little tricky to fish out of there if they don't come out attached to the injector. |
