328D N47T Valve Cover Gasket Guide?

Looking to see if anyone here has done a valve cover gasket job on a 328d/320d. Couldn't seem to find a resource for this undertaking.

AlpineG30 - Here is the guide towards things on newTIS: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...h-lid/GzyACwOL

Here were my slim notes: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...0&postcount=62

Just did this job over the past winter, along with a few others at the same time. Overall it is a bit finicky at times, but just being patient and following the documentation allowed for an easy enough job. Would likely say it is a 5-6/10 for the average DIY person. For the line that runs down to the HPFP, you need to take off the intake manifold according to the job notes. I did so because I was doing other things under, but I am unsure if you could just loosen up the pipe and get the cover out without fully removing the manifold.

If you do remove the manifold, I'd recommend replacing the coolant pipe underneath of there since it is so available to do so.

See attached for steps to remove the intake manifold, high pressure lines/injectors, and engine cover (big thanks to the person who shared these with me).

I'll add that it's recommended to replace the cover itself as well and not just the gasket. They're made out of plastic and the diesel engine already vibrates enough so they're prone to crack, and this isn't a job you want to do again. I think the only other thing I ordered was new crush washers for the injectors when reinstalling.
