In Michigan - I've never met a dealer who let me drive off the lot without proof of insurance. Maybe no fault states are this way?

OP, congrats!

You're buying a used car.

You'll never drive back and get them to fix it for free.

So negotiate.

By the way, how are the brakes?

Look at pad thickness, don't rely on the CPO checklist that was filled out by some idiot named Duane at the dealership.

Don't know if I can see pad thickness without pulling a wheel, but I'll check.
They called me first thing this morning to schedule the ding repair.

Make sure that the emergency road kit is in there (i feel like 100% of the time it is) but just to be safe. Along with the jack.

Check to make sure you get two keys, all manuals, the manual cover, cargo net, the tool kit (screwdriver, tow hook, wheel lock keys if equipped), cup holder lid, trunk tonneau cover, and all four floor mats.

Hello, Flo...yes I need to insure my $2.5M Bugatti that was just involved in a wreck.
If you don’t know, just call your agent. I don’t understand the back and forth on stuff like this.

I always finance,so there has to be insurance. In Illinois,if you have valid insurance, they know the new car will be covered. I don’t know about insurance that advertises strictly on price.
