I have had absolutely no issues for both saving the DE file with E-sys and generating the map FSC code on my Windows 7 64 bits machine.

Hi,

I have a F11 and installed the new map update (Europe Next 2015-1). Now it is asking for an activation code. So I have bought an ENET cable and downloaded some software (Ediabas, SWID_reader and SWID_DE_reader) to get the .fsc file. I tried to generate the code with the fsc_generator but none of the codes worked.... What parametres do I have to use in fsc.bat? I know the first one has to be 0xA9 not sure about the second one though.
I also tried BMW-FSC-NBT-Generator but the 2015-1 map is not in the list...

I included the fsc file. Could someone tell me how to generate the code or generate it for me Thanks

The new map is listed in the generator he attached.

I can get the file from my NBT but all of the tools tell me it is an invalid file. This is pretty embarrassing considering how experienced I am with coding. I'm sure I'm missing something simple.

Nevermind, answered my own question. I guess the file name really does matter, or something like that. After renaming to the proper FXXXXXX-000DE001 it worked and generated a code, but heres the kicker. I didn't even need it. My car must have already had the 2015-1 FSC stored because it didn't even ask me for one.

Forget about that tool. Get the FSC using Esys and then use one of the command line tools.

You need to extract the DE (NBT) or 1B (CIC) file using e-Sys. Then using the FSC Generator (included in post), generate offline your FSC code

Didn't see anywhere that engine has to be running during maps update, otherwise the computer will timeout and power down. Good thing is, process resumes where it left off

Yeah, anyone with a 2014 car, regardless of build date, should just try running the map update first, as it might just go through.
