I've made progress: was an misconfiguration in VMware.
Used Esys and was able to Store FSC. Afterwards I opened DOS and used 'nbt.exe xxxx.fsc 0xA8 0x27'
I got a code, but however the car says it's wrong..
Updated yesterday, (no code asked), but when starting the car this morning it asked for a code.
I noticed there was a lookup.xml file in that folder as well( where nbt.exe is). However I did not change anything in that file. Do I need to make changes there too beforehand?
Is 0xA8 and 0x27 correct? For Europe Next 2016-2

As you know you can't acquire 1b file through DCAN so forget about EDIBAS, the only option beside ICOM is ENET i.e. ethernet adapter.

There are 3 different IP addresses assigned to clients by CIC (that I know):
169.254.199.98 (mask 255.255.255.0, gateway and ftp server address 169.254.199.99)
10.250.89.3 (mask 255.0.0.0, gateway and ftp server address 10.250.89.2)
160.48.199.98 (mask 255.255.255.128, gateway and ftp server address 160.48.199.99)

If none of those IP addresses work, then you need to set your PC to DHCP mode using TFTPD64. Then CIC will get IP address from your PC's DHCP.
You can check which address CIC got using Tool32 (when you are connected to it with DCAN, and ENET is on USB), load CICR.PRG and start the Job "status_get_ipconfig".
For example set your PC to a static IP address (e.g. 192.168.10.10/255.255.255.0) Launch TFTPD64 and bind it to your wired adapter. Under the options tab, set the start address to 192.168.10.20 with at least 2 for the pool size. Reboot your CIC by pressing the VOLUME button for about 30 seconds. The CIC will now be accessible at the address you specified, 192.168.10.20 in this case.

Hope this helps, if it doesn't then your CIC is most probably not wired to OBD and then your only chance is USB-Enet adapter with ASIX chipset.

Ok, so I downloaded the FSC generator and 2016-2 NA NEXT maps. Put the unarchived map data on a flash drive, and inserted it just to try and see if I could upgrade without the new code. It gave me a message saying something similar to 'The navigation data in the car is incomplete, please see your dealer'

I'm assuming it was referring to the 2016-2 map data on the flash drive, not what is installed in the car currently (112113.2.121 - Next 2013 - NBT_A12201I)

Have any of you seen this before?

Fixed my issue. Directory structure was stripped when unarchiving the torrent.

Hello friends, I managed to generate the file by ESYS and generate the FSC code for my car, always but with wrong codes.

My map is SOUTH AMERICA NEXT 2016 00AF 0004.

I tried the BMW-FSC-NBT generator by ms-dos and windows, and the FSC GENERATOR by windows. All generated codes, but all the wrong codes.

Now, after a few failed attempts, my NAV does not start, and is asking for code, even without me asking to upgrade.

I can no longer use my NAV, I press the NAV button and immediately idrive asks the code, like a new car at the dealership.

I'll have to buy a new code FSC? Is possible to generate the right FSC code maps SOUTH AMERICA?

@shawnsheridan I am trying to update my F30 navi with europe move 2016-2 but I don't know which parameters set in the batch file of fsc generator. I tried with 0x88 for the navi version and 0x09 for the year but didn't work. Any suggestions? Thank you very much

Hi. I managed to generate fsc code by using the software in link provided by DR HO on the first page of this thread. Only issue I had was that fsc file I got via esys wouldn't initially work with the fsc generator because it was not recognised as a base64 file. However, got it working after converting the file using base64 program I found via another link.

Finally I managed to download 1B file with the ENET cable from my X1 E84 but I could not generate the GPS code because the “FSC Code Generator” gives me an error.
“version after create () = 0x1D”
I read a lot about this error but I have not be able to find a solution.
Could someone help me?
I need to connect and download the file again? o I have another solution?

You can run fsc exe on 64bit windows from a 32 bit command prompt (c:\windows\syswow64\cmd.exe)
