Yep, indeed he has! I was chatting to my parents earlier and their best friends only stay at the RHG too when they visit London from "up north" - they are too very wealthy and apparently wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Seems like an impression shared by many people! Looking forward to staying there - Ian has been a great help and we hope to confirm the booking on Monday at the latest. The power of F30 Bimmerpost!

I did smile when I saw your post I knew you'd get sorted out by our resident hotelier, enjoy!

Offer available to anyone who wants it, lets be honest there is self interest as frankly we are not very busy and helping people out at cheap rates whilst putting a few quid in the company bank account is a win win...

Today I have been mainly sorting our insurance brokers to help with our Business Interruption claim due to Covid. There are a lot of noughts on that so lets hope the insurance companies dont bother appealing against the Court decision....

well last year we would have been at 80 to 90% occupancy, today we are at between 10 and 40% in central London and have less than half the hotels open...

It’s bad whoever picks up the cost. I have to say I’d prefer the hotels and hospitality businesses to survive, but it is just pushing the problem further down the line until someone takes the hit and goes. Not up on the reserves of all the insurers out there, but I guess they’re probably as well placed as anyone to see their way through this.

Well we pay well over a million a year for all cover and one of them specifically insures us for loss of profits resulting from non damage denial of access. Not sure how else you describe the govt telling you that you cant open so to me its blatantly obvious we are covered and I'll have the money please....

Insurer is Allianz so I reckon they can afford it.... and anyway, they took the bet, now they can honour it! As you can see something that I am quite passionate about as my boss in Asia gives me a hard time about it weekly!

Rate above can be applied to anyone on the forum with very few exceptions - will only include breakfast if you book and stay before Nov 30th as its stands.

If you want the Tower hotel, £75 (same rule re breakfasts) and I can probably swing free parking if I try hard....
Can you throw in a Nanny?

Another recommendation here for Ian, who has got some unbelievable rates for us a couple of times at the Royal Horseguards - great hotel and in a great location.

Now that's a service I could use. A good deal for a couple of nights away, and babysitting the kids while we do. Nice one

The answer to your question is yes, £39.95 a head and they will chuck in a glass of bubbly for you as there is no F&F discount on food.

Of course, we aren’t projecting being back to normal until 2023... sadly!

2023! Holy moly!

A lot of hotels won’t survive that long.
