I ordered it from Berry BMW

Yeah I found the 30d a better drive overall 100kg lighter, the new one has 286hp with the MHT and does 60 in 5.7 so that's plenty, the adaptive roll bars with the executive drive pro will be interesting I've always wanted a car with them having once driven a 5 series with them they utterly change the dynamics of the car.

Ordinarily that would be a recipe for a financial soaking but in the current crazy market you might even turn a profit! |

Yes I'm (currently) sat on a £2800 profit on the golf plus my deposit back, which as you say is crazy.

No it's a fabulous car and I've been really impressed with its dynamics and punch, it really is a stonking hot hatch as fast if not faster than any car I've had over the b roads (well it feels that way) it's a joy to drive and gives you so much confidence and I'm really glad I bought it.
But as the country is opening up I'll be travelling more so when I saw the 7 deal I thought it was too good to miss as I've been after one since the LCI came out (I know I'm odd)

In actual fact, given I've done very little in the way of longer runs since I got it it's almost got me thinking I might have been better with something like your Golf or maybe even a JCW Mini! |

After reading this, thought I'd see what webuyanycar would offer me on the 540. Came back at £37,500, which is about £4k more than the outstanding finance (assuming I run to the end, and so max interest + final payment)
Email today from them offering £38k I love the 5, but one of the reasons for getting it was space for all the camping crap, and that has now been negated by the camper van, so am starting to wonder whether to go for something less practical, although still usable.... |

Son in law was telling me they made £9k on a run of the mill Tiguan that they bought at auctions and had in stock having some cosmetic work and prep done for a few weeks... no wonder dealers want your cars! Of more interest, how are you getting on with the camper....? Been looking at the MB V220d Marco Polo..... |

It's obviously no 5 series in terms of refinement or handling, but can be driven for hours no problem. We have a three week tour around north England planned for the summer, so that will be it's first big trip out. Being slightly smaller than the 5, it's actually fine as a daily if you want, although only seats four. Only issue we have so far is that it looks like we might have to replace the leisure batteries, as they are only lasting about 36 hours, and there are two of them....... I dread to think how much it has gone up in price since we bought it last October |

Well stuck the wife's car on motorway today and even if gets just the reserve price we are getting 5k back having put in a 4k deposit 3 years ago.
Bonkers but let's see what offers we get. Motorway are annoyingly picky about the photos they want but simple enough. |
