2017 F30 340 Sport Line steering wheel options

So I'm hoping to get the MSport M Performance steering wheel for my regular F30 340 Sport Line. Mine has the paddle shifters. To make the update would I just need the new steering wheel (32-30-2-230-188), airbag (32-30-8-092-724), and multi-function buttons (61-31-7-849-411)? Its not clear to me if my paddle shifters would carry over to the new steering wheel.

Also, beside the MPerf upgrade are there any aftermarket options for my Sport Line that will get me a bit of a thicker steering wheel? My dealer has the Sport Line M Performance steering wheel (32-30-2-230-197) but its the same thickness as my current leather one.

Hard to find the answers on this. But this helped:

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=03_0095

Since my car has the lane change warning and driving assistant I think I also need to get:

Rear cover - 32-30-7-848-268
Vibration generator - 32-33-7-849-416
Wiring harness - 32-30-7-848-337

Buuuut, still not sure if my Sport Line paddle shifters would carry over. Anyone know?

Pick up an aftermarket wheel from Aza or something similar. If you're going to pay for a steering wheel may as well get one with carbon fiber and alcantara/leather and some style.

Thanks! I do like something like this:

https://azaautowheel.com/product/ste...her-alcantara/

Problem is though the lane warning doesn't carry over, heating is an extra $250, and the carbon fiber doesn't match the rest of the interior (its currently matte).

You could always go with the BMW M Performance V2 steering wheel. These are often for sale on the F80/F82 forum classifieds for good deals.

With a red stripe used on F8x forum:

Anyone know if the paddle shifters are the same for the Sport Line and MSport steering wheels? I can't find the part numbers to compare myself

Yes, they are. There are also extended ones available but the standard shift paddles will fit either wheel.

If you want to make your existing wheel a bit thicker, you could consider rewrapping it. I did that on mine with Nappa leather to cover up the cheap, almost polyurethane feeling factory leather. Side effect of that was that it did make the wheel feel a bit thicker.

Awesome, thanks!

At this point its mostly cosmetic and me hating the current airbag and how it looks. I'll probably end up getting an Aza custom wheel but as MSport instead of the regular Sport Line.

With carrying over the paddle shifters the rest of the components aren't that expensive except for the airbag. Now I just need to find one of those on ebay... and hope its a legit one that won't kill me in a crash

Anyone know if the diameter of the M performance is the same as M Sport? I got a M sport in the 335d, but would like a smaller diameter bus steering wheel in there atm...
