Downloaded the new app; everything working fine for me including Send to Car from the app! :-)
I tried registering for Google's Send to Car feature as well (from Google Maps on a desktop PC). It says that the destination was sent, but it's not showing up in the car. I used my ConnectedDrive e-mail address as the "Account ID" on Google. Does this work for anyone else? Thanks, cinergi |

Dear Canadian33, I have left about 3 or 4 PMs for you but haven't heard back. I have detailed everything in the PMs, however as a quick summary, I am having the same problems others are having which include all commands for horn, locking, etc failing before they get to the car. I have installed the new app and nothing has changed. I also don't see functionality for the 3D remote on my idrive under privacy. The dealer and the connected drive email team have not been able to figure it out. Please help if you can. All my services were working until last month and then stopped.

I figured it out. Using my e-mail address didn't work for me, but on the bmw-connecteddrive.ca portal it's possible to define a unique username (under My Account > My Login Information or something like that). That's the Account ID that should be used when setting up Send to Car on Google. It works now :-).

I’ve been following this thread for a while. Now the new “BMW Connected” is available on the Canada App Store, is this ready for prime time.
Do I need to re register and are there instructions posted by BMW anywhere or a plan to communicate to BMW owners. |

Within your profile add a vehicle, by entering the full 17 digit VIN. 3. Once added successfully, a message is sent to the vehicle with a 6 digit passcode. You need to retrieve this 6 digit code from the vehicle and enter it into the portal to complete the vehicle mapping process. 4. Download the Connected App from the iTunes Store in Canada 5. Log into the connected app with the username and password that you created in step 1. Hope that clarifies the process. |
