**working Enahcned Bluetooth Code For Bimmercode***
just putting this here because of the nightmare i had trying to get EBT with office album art Etc. this code is for those who have like HU_champ2 aka in bimmercode HU_CICHB with a combox this what you need to get enhanced Bluetooth via bimmercode i tried another method by another user but it just stopped my Bluetooth altogether so to save someone else the headache here is the code you need.

Thanks, after messing around with Bimmercode and various forum posts these settings worked, but ONLY after I had the car forget the phone and the phone forget the car, and even then it only worked once. But the next day, it started working reliably. So happy not to plug in the USB anymore which was pretty unreliable. My car does not have Navigation or Tech package.
I did enable album art display over USB but that didn't work. Also these changes changed the audio playback screen for USB to match that of BT so now I can push down the iDrive knob to skip tracks vs using the phone and/or the switch on the dash which is kind of a reach. Used BCode on iOS. Update: I needed to charge my phone so I plugged it into the USB thinking the BT audio would continue doing its thing. Nope. I got a message in the iDrive screen that BT Audio was being disabled and I couldn't get it back, so I did a code restore from the last good config. We'll see if that works tomorrow.

So it seems i have the same headunit but without the combox does anyone know how to get this to work, I had a play and managed to get the options for blutooth audio to show but when you try and use it doesnt work.

I’ve just followed these instructions on my 2013 F31, which seems so far to have worked.
I can’t see any album art, but looks like Bluetooth audio works. My car does have navigation. The only worry I have, is that if you go back in to BimmerCode, outside of expert mode, it shows a head unit coding error. Is that normal? |

If you have HU CICHB with Commbox, these directions are 100% legit. Just finished coding it and it works like a charm! Thanks Youngjnr.

EBT Still no joy - BMW say it cant be done, ever. Are they correct?
Hi All, brand new here but have been following with interest.
So... Not long ago I got a ex lease 320D Touring which I am loving. 63 plate. And I got a little excited when I thought that I could get BT to work to play spotify, but nothing happened, even via USB... Might be the phone? Nonetheless I searched about until I happened on this forum, with amazing people helping out others. So Armed with the info, Bimmercode App and hardware I thought I would give it a go. I have tried and checked the settings posted by Youngjnr, thank you btw. Using iCar pro via Bluetooth and android via Galaxy S8. I get the BT Audio to appear but it still refuses to connect to the phone. That Please wait... message. It did spark into life once and I thought I was in, asked me to pair a phone, then please Wait... again. Done the forget phone stuff too. I have also been in touch with Shawnee at BMW connected drive help and she finally said, 'due to the age of the car it is not going to happen... ever. I can't even perform an aftermarket upgrade as it has to be set in the factory. I think I was being mugged off. As I said, I have double checked the settings and it is all as it should be. There is a Combox in the boot and the Nav is basic not Pro, cant remember the version off hand. If anyone can assist I would be really grateful. If not, keep up the good work. I have managed to turn the radio off when I open the door and get the speed showing up and tyre pressure showing, so happy with all that. Cheers |

Many thanks, Ill email BMW connected services and let them know that it can be done. I have no warranty to worry about. |

Youngjnr, I have a 2014 BMW 328i xDrive with combox and 6NH option. Will your steps enable enhanced Bluetooth, office, and voice/hands-free options like text to speech and speech recognition?

Hi everyone,
I tried to do this because my bluetooth menu is stuck on "please wait" message and i just wanted to check if all parameters are correct. I accessed HU_CIC menu in expert mode but i can't find the combox menu and i am sure that i have combox in the trunk. Does this mean that my combox is dead?(My aux input and USB are also not working). |
