Comfort Access Issues

When I try to lock the doors using comfort access, it takes several tries for it to work, even after getting the key closer to the car.

When turning on the car, sometimes it'll say the key was not in the car and won't start, but it'll work the second time I try. Just replaced the key's battery.

Last but not least, the trunk also takes several "kicks" for it to open.

Any ideas? Can this be improved with coding by any chance?

Coding will not help. You have a technical problem. It sounds like it is with the fob (each door has a separate sensor, so if all have the problem, as you describe - it is most likely the fob).
Do you have the same issue when using the second fob?

Do you have aftermarket puddle lights installed. The cheap ebay kind?

Tried the second keyfob and I wasn't aware it was a replacement never coded by the dealer when I got the car, called them, and they're trying to charge me to code it. Might just do it my self I guess.

Just wanted to make sure it wasn't normal operation for that year, but if it isn't, might just take it in before the cpo expires, just gonna have to be lucky enough for it to reproduce it for them as they never do any work unless they can see it, and this doesn't happen every time unfortunately.

Just to be sure again, have you installed any electrical mods on your car? especially the cheap puddle lights on your doors?

Is your fob in any kind of case? On a key ring with a bunch of other keys? Sometimes I find it less responsive if I have something bulky in my pocket and the key fob is behind it (ie. my vape mod).
