ISTA

Hello All,

this is technically not a coding question but since it is related to Rheingold and ISTA I thought I start here anyway.

I am about to retrofit the Alpine sound upgrade.
I am looking at the manual and its fairly detailed but with regards to some of the preparatory work it just refers to certain ISTA numbers. Like how to remove this panel, that trim etc.

I understand with due care you could probably do all this without instructions but for the sake of a few minutes of reading I'd rather do it WITH the instructions. After all if you break a little thing it could cost you easily x amount of bucks.

Anyway, so this manual refers to certain ISTA numbers, for example "removal of Front door trim, left and right - ISTA No. 51 41 000".

I have a Rheingold package which I haven't really put to use yet or even tried out. It's a massive archive like many many GBs and I am wondering naturally would those ISTA manuals as referred to by the numbers be included in that Rheingold package? Like in the documentation section or something?

After all the package is 120GB+ strong (compressed) and it couldnt be just all the programming stuff that makes it so big.

Thanks for you r time, much appreciated.

I don't know what package you have or from where, but most of it you do not need.
My Rheingold has compressed 10GB and uncompressed 30GB.
And it is still complete and i find all instructions and documentations.

Yes, that's right.
Because most people (me included) don't need ISTA/P and SDP-Data.
I also think most people don't know what these are for.
For only Rheingold there's no need to download these 2 things.

So thats what my question was about. Do these big archives ISTA/p contain the information I'm looking for? Where would I find those ISTA number documents?

No, these information can be found in ISTA/D.
You can search for those numbers about "Text Search" and "Search for the document number".

Good stuff, thank you.

Edit: I got that installed and figured out and I'm able to get those docs. Nice!
