Hi, i just wanted to update this. I have a 2015 F31 with pro nav.

I found that if you use bimmercode and just activate these in expert mode,

then remove your bluetooth devices, then re-add, then go to settings > Connectons and switch on Office. It now works. I also found that if you google around for bimmercode apk you can find a much more competitively priced product.

Yes. The ones above. First I tried to follow the ones posted on the previous page but I didn't have a combo menu, so I just went with the ones posted by ghostintheshell and made sure my phone notifications were set to "on" for text. Then, deleted bluetooth in both phone and car and then started car, added phone and it worked.

Hello everyone,

I've coded Enhanced Bluetooth with Bimmercode sucessfully on my F22.
My headunit is HU_CICHB and I have Combox in my trunk.

I've coded it with the lines from first post.
I've also got album art working and new player skin.
Only thing that stopped working is my phone button on a steering wheel. I can answer incoming calls but I cannot access recent calls list on my dashboard anymore.

I tried to restore the factory setting and it was working again. Then I coded Enhanced Bluetooth again, and it stopped working.

I tought the problem was Office because it doubles the phonebook and I tried to disable everything conected to Office, including the messages and contact photos (even tough these were working at all), but the button doesn't open the call list yet.

I saw that someone posted a same problem earlier.

And yes, I repair my phone every time I code the headunit, so that is not an issue.

I hopr someone can figure it out because Stephan from bimmercode doesn't have a clue.

I own a 430d GC xdrive model 3/2017. By searching the VIN number I saw that I have ID5. Also in the features of the car I have wireless charging, and I suppose I have EBT as I connect bluetooth for calls and music. For a strange reason I cannot use usb sticks, I tried few of them all in FAT32 format but I didnt manage to play anything, not even update the software from BMW official website....
I purchased the Vgate OBD but after the first coding I wasn't happy cos of faults during the coding so 2 days ago i proceeded with purchasing the Vepeak one....Am waiting for this....
I would like to code android mirroring in the car, video in motion and in general features like that...
Any suggestions or answers would be appreciated...

Thanks for your description. It works perfect with BT streaming now.
BUT I lost all BMW Connected Drive connections now, like internet, etc. BMW Live always ask me to activate BT dataservices.
I already tried to turn on BT tethering on my phone (S10), but no success . All settings under extrenal are set to office as well.
Anybody got a clue?

However I have realized the car doesn't have Mic fitted at the centre lights console. I have gotten the part no for Mic and ordered but I can't find the required cable harness . any help much appreciated.

I read a bit and I managed to start BT, now I can listen to audio and spotify from my iPhone. - THANK YOU

But I have this problem now, I can answer the phone but I cannot dial the number on the steering wheel, I cannot scroll through the list of numbers. I have to use iDrive on the main display to dial.
Does anyone know what I coded wrong? Ultimately, I used the encoding in question.

1. Is it possible to code in such a way so as to scroll through tracks with spotify controlled by the steering wheel?
2. Is it possible to turn on the auto blanking of the main screen while driving, eg after 30 seconds from the last action?
3. Has anyone managed to set up text messages SMS?
4. Is it possible to extend the time of manual holding on a hill, currently it is around 3-4 seconds.
5. How to turn on the bend lighting by halogen lights

Dude thank you soo much, this worked a treat for me!!!

Just to add, when you’ve paired the device, I had to go into the device setting (on iDrive) then check the ‘Audio’ check box as it only had telephone ticked

Then, go into External, then select BT Audio, then select your phone from the list

Once done, all working a treat

I have tried this but for some reason I am still not getting Voice Control working on my F30.
I have checked and have the ComBox in the boot and pulled the cover above the steering wheel to see there is a microphone there.

Can anyone point me in what I might be doing wrong or is there something I am missing that I need?

I have just followed these steps (including turning BT_MODUL_ON_OFF back to nicht_aktiv) and I now have EBT working perfectly in my 2013 320d F31 - thanks so much everyone!

I do have the same problem as others now though after coding, with the phone button on the steering wheel not being able to access recent calls list etc although it works fine to answer incoming calls.

If I press it I get "Tel not available" come up on the instrument cluster.

Anyone any ideas how I can get it working properly again?

Hi, this post seems helpful but my 2011 328i Xdrive does not have the iDrive screen. My Bimmercode menu is very different from what is posted here, but I am suffering from the same problem (no BT streaming, but connects for calls), and dead aux-in jack (but USB work fine with an iPod plugged in). Does anyone know how the menu structure should be for this same fix in a non-iDrive?

Youngjnr, can't thank you enough for this thread, I recently bought a F30 and have a HU_CIC in it. I was pulling my hair out these last couple of days as I was having the issue of bluetooth being stuck on "Please Wait" after making the coding changes that were suggested on other threads. Following these ones everything works perfectly. I was honestly a few more tries away from buying and retrofitting an MMI - saved me a couple hundred right there.

Had to make an account to say thanks and to anyone else having similar issues with a CIC head unit with a combox then hopefully these work for you too.

Hi, i have tried this on my F30 318d from 2014 with the box but for some reason it was only taking the calls from the butooth but no music streaming. i followed all steps but no luck. Is there any one who tried it recently and has an update on this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
