Current Lease Deals on 2017 or wait for 2018 340i
Couple questions:
I have been shopping around at possibly assuming a 16' Leased 340i. However, I have come to see some dealers are being fairly aggressive with the 17's. So couple questions I have are: What are people negotiating the cap cost for on 17's? In general for purchasing or leasing what have people been getting off MSRP? I see invoice is roughly 7% off or so and I've seen some places quote 10-12% off on a well optioned 340i M-Sport. If there are any dealers in the PNW or Westcoast you recommend for good deals I'm all ears. I will go down as far south as California but prefer to stay in the PNW. Lastly, I have read the 18's will go into Production soon, is there any reason to now wait until end of the year when BMW typically runs more specials? I haven't seen any Order Guides or anything indicating if there are any changes from 17 to 18. Thank you! Last edited by dereksM3; 02-23-2017 at 01:30 PM.. |

There is $1,500 allowance on 2017's now, this is how you can get below invoice. We don't have any information about 2018, I doubt it will change much.

Having said that anybody have any recommendations on the West Coast for dealers that are willing to negotiate. In WA we have Seattle and Bellevue dealers and in the past they haven't been so good on providing the best deals. I'm willing to travel down to California as it seems they have much better selections and deals. |

Why not just got for a MY2016 if you're leasing? MY2017 only had the addition of CarPlay and the new iDrive, everything else is about the same AFAIK. CarPlay isn't worth it IMO and I wasn't a fan of the new iDrive when I tried it recently either (not as intuitive as the previous iDrive). Save your $$$.
If you're really set with a newer model, go for a MY2017. You're not gaining anything with a MY2018 vs. MY2017 to justify the extra cost. EDIT: I guess there's the all digital instrument cluster in MY2018 but the HUD is a more practical option. I've read you cannot have both digital cluster and HUD in the same build which is ridiculous...

My biggest reason is hesitancy towards buying/leasing a first year build at least in terms of the B58 engine. I would rather buy a 2nd or 3rd year model with the hopes of having any of the minor kinks worked out. BMW historically hasn't had the best track record on their first model year motor changes. So far it seems the B58 seems pretty good though. I'm actually trying to do a 16' lease takeover from another member but haven't heard back. I will most likely lease the vehicle and buy it out at the end depending on how much I like it. The new G20 body style is right around the corner too which adds another wrinkle in the plans.

That's actually really good to hear! How do you like the coral red? I drove a 14' 335i that had it and I didn't think I would like red interior but I really enjoyed it.

Love the coral red; it's not over the top in my opinion. Only wish the lower part of the dash was red like my previous 4er GC but can't have it all I guess

In February - "There is $1,500 allowance on 2017's now, this is how you can get below invoice. "
Is this still a valid discount in March? on 2017? Looks like 2018 price increase is only 200 USD but residuals went down from 60% for 12K miles to 56% - that is significant. Plus on a new resigned car dealers are not willing to give full discounts - so it makes a lease for a comparable car $50 - 100 more |

My lease is 480 month with only first month, lease fee and motor vehicle fees up front. I did elect to pay the multiple security deposit also which is another $3,500 but that is refundable. |
