hi all

friend of mine got 6wb (second hand); his car was badly coded to start with. I fixed (so I think) most of errors ie VO still said 6wa. He has famous RED DOT in cluster. which i am struggling to get rid off.

I checked fahrgestell_nr_rda in KOMBI and it has his cars vin inside; picture in below.



I did however run vin report from esys and I got below which i think is the reason why red dot is there in first place; see below



I would believe that reason for three VINs in that is; swapped engine; swapped EDC and obviously cluster. appreciate your help

It's most likely the eeprom vin not matching. For 6wb I need a certain eeprom reader. I used r270 for 6wa but don't think it'll work for 6wb but that most likely the problem.

ok, how to I go about amending/erasing eeprom please?

also car has got 8TH but no information is displayed on DKOMBI. any clue for this issue please?

Do not need 6WB in VO to work properly.

You need to flash cluster after vin change.

Hi all,
i'm having trouble with my 6wb retrofit.

i've purchased a virginized 6wb cluster
it arrives and 2 different coders have found problem whlie coding with the below error.


we finally decided to flash it but still with the enet cable connected to the can2 we had another error

after that the red dot appears ( because there is no vin no anymore to the kombi)

the coder says that i still need another cable that is a oabr to ethernet cable

can you please support me here?
