Going to pop into WoS on Saturday and see where i am now positioned on the waiting list for my James Cameron , not holding my breath for one this side of the 2023, if at all. Going to give it another 12m then look at an IWC Pilot or a ceramic Plant Ocean.

So I paid a deposit and collect it next month.

Keep the faith, it will be worth it in the end.

Also try ringing around, that’s what I did, build your a rapport with the salesperson and who knows, may be a bit quicker.
Smaller shops are better for this I found.

There are only two AD`s in Glasgow , WoS and Laings. Name is on the list at WoS and i e-mailed the watch manager (via a work colleague) in Laings but no reply was forthcoming.

We are off to London (again) mid January for the daughters graduation from Kingston Uni so may do a bit of "networking" before we head down.

I know someone who works in Knightsbridge and has a thing about watches, I can ask her if she has a contact.....

My friend since childhood dreamed of collecting watches and successfully realized his dream as an adult. Now regularly, once a season or once every six months, if he manages to set aside some money, he buys a new addition to his collection.

My WoS guy wasn`t on Saturday when i popped in so i went into Laings in the Argyle Arcade and they actually had a James Cameron on show, but not for sale , so i tried it on and decided it was what i wanted so stuck my name down for one if it should become available in the future.

Got a better "vibe" in Laings so lets see what happens.

Heard some reports of it being a "huge" heavy watch and not for everyone but it wore smaller than my PO that i was wearing , although it was a bit heavier , if it falls off i will certainly notice its absence.

I think I posted pics of my PO and JC next to each other earlier in this thread and you can see the PO is larger.

I put my name down with as many AD's as I could justify the travel distance, and the one that come through was about 80 minutes away which was reasonable.

Regular communication is also key, every month to 6 weeks a call and general chit chat with he salesperson always helps to keep you in the game.

I've used Laings before. Much more helpful than anywhere else I've found.

Cheers...few different features on this BB. Green second hand, Green bezel and the green 600ft/200m is feet first when all other BB are M first, as a nod to UK...to name a few. Took me a year to get this one direct from only AD that sells them.

Mrs bought me this for my birthday
Lot more than any other watch I’ve ever had, not on the league of some of the examples on here , but very happy…

And my racing hero too..

Selling my week old Tudor BB58 Blue if anyone is interested. Not for me as it's too small...mint condition as only worn once! Stupidly took the stickers off so now cannot return it as Tudor are very fussy.

It's also on eBay.

£2300.
